Ukraine Protests

I do wonder what it's supposed to accomplish. They're not going to be joining NATO anytime soon.

I may be wrong but I don't think countries that are involved in conflict or civil war are allowed to join NATO?

I agree it'll be way down the road when/if they join. Why is Poroschenko posturing now is a good question?

I know what you mean. Ukraine made the decision last year to not join the EU and the US sent in their jackals...

The Ukrainian people showed in the streets of Kiev they no longer wanted to be under the boot of Russian imperialism, the Kremlin should respect their voice. The Soviet Union has collapsed and Moscow should no longer control the successor states.

But you have no problem if we send in Kerry and Nuland? I mean, lets assume that Russia has no business in Ukrainian politics... what gives the US permission to be involved in Ukrainian politics?

So it was American citizens fighting for freedom on the Maidan?

It was Ukrainian citizens in the Maidan being gunned down by who knows who... that is an open debate that many will disagree on. But there are enough people and enough evidence to suggest that Yanukovych's forces were not firing on the citizens.

Just like how Assad was blamed for using chemical weapons last summer on Syrians until more info came out.

Those were hardly peaceful protesters. Those were payed right wing street thugs....brown shirts...

The Russian apologists (they do this on another forum I visit) refuse to acknowledge the difference between sending in a few civilian agents (if indeed the west did that) and Russia sending in thousands of troops, tanks, rockets, and stuff.

It's exactly the same.

Like Ras stated earlier, this reeks to high heaven. Eerily similar to the alleged chemical attack by Assad on his own people which the US media ran with without ANY conclusive evidence.

Ironic how quiet MSM has gotten concerning MH17.

So they should make up stuff on mh17 like their counterparts in the quoted story and like you complain (rightly in some cases) about our msm doing?

The facts point toward a Ukrainian/US shoot down of MH17. Show me some factual evidence that the E. Ukrainians or Russia was behind it....

It's just like in Syria. A fabrication and media bombardment.

When did Russia do that? Link?
