That's fine. Your commitment is a national model of community, while others are committed to a more international/global/cosmopolitan model of community. I suppose both are arbitrary at the end of the day, so it doesn't really matter. Unless you're one of the innocent that are killed in the whole game.

At the end of the day, I think American women are best. Of course, there is no comprehensive definition of what an "American" woman looks like, but that's the point. American women give us all kinds of variety.

Now, if I had to choose one specific female "beauty," then yes, I'd go with Eastern European women. Just my opinion.

And I have to clue how we reached this point of discussion.

Eastern Europe does produce some nice talent. I feel in love with a chick from Bulgaria once, she was on fire. Also Sweden has some lovely ladies as well.

I don't know that I can respect that particular rationale, but it is your opinion. So there's that I guess. It seems to rationalize preemptive or even unprompted warfare but as long as it's your nation starting it and finishing it, then you're fine with that.

And if that is indeed your rationale, then I disagree with it vehemently. But you're still entitled to your opinion. After all, this is still 'Murica last time I checked, despite the rumors of its demise.

Honestly, asking me to choose is just unfair. I love women of all ethnicities, races, and nationalities. They all have appeal to me.

Anyhow, I digress yet again.

No, it's code for actually recognizing that we're all humans and all inhabit this earth together and might as well make the best of it instead of being divided by arbitrary enclaves/communities and killing one another due to these arbitrary commitments.

But if you enjoy violence in the name of arbitrary identifications, then I suppose this "PC" model isn't appealing.

Nothing politically correct about it. That term is overused far too much.

The catch-22 is that attempts to "just get alone" will be perceived as weakness and acted upon accordingly. It's human nature. Without becoming mindless robots there is no way we will ever have a global community much to the chagrin of Gene Roddenberry's fetid corpse.

No, you're absolutely right. I agree. By our nature, we are pack animals and resent anyone who isn't a part of the pack. For better or for worse. More often than not, for worse.

It sucks for the civilians caught up in that mess but I still don't care. Guess I am just heartless, or maybe it's because it's the middle east and I've been around those animals too many times.

Svoboda (Another Ukrainian Far-Right, Nationalist party) has called for mass mobilization to defend the Ukraine and compared Putin to Hitler. Also calls for the declaration of martial law.

There are also rumors that Russian troops may have crossed the Chonchar peninsula into mainland Ukraine, nothing confirmed yet.

You are correct. I'm not saying thats the right way or the best way but it is just life. Life will bite you in the ass hard if you let it. I also tend to be pessimistic about everything so when I am wrong its a better surprise! :good!:

An instructive lesson from Syria is that America and other Western countries shouldn't be leading on people by suggesting that we're going to help them in their revolutions.

If they want to overturn their governments, be it Ukraine, Syria, Egypt, or where ever, their revolutions should be able to stand on their own, without relying on America to prop them up. If we encourage people do more than they can, it only hurts them more in the long run.

What's going on there is terrible. But as we've discussed here for months, there's no good options. Do we want to have an Iraq war II to stop the fighting there?
