UK vs. UT

Michael McDonald, who of course sang for the Doobie Brothers, sang backup for Steely Dan on the 1978 Aja album.

In fact, last year, when Steely Dan was on tour, they took McDonald with them. He was opening act, then came back on stage to sing some backup.

That dude could sing. I'll def. check them out. I'll get back to you on if I dig them or not.

When someone said jazz/blues I just thought jam band act and thought of a Dave Matthews/ Bela' Fleck kind of outfit and their 30 minute songs. I don't trip to listen to music so dont get the wrong idea there.

it seems like the vols show up to big games... i mean who would have ever thought we would have that close of a game to ohio st. I think we can hang with them for most of the game, but in the end kentucky will pull it out...we need lofton back....BADLY

I am not feeling too confident about the game. But on the brighter side Kentucky has lost their last two to Georgia and...i cannot remember...so maybe, just maybe we can take advantage of their misfortunes

We and Florida both beat MSU on the road by comparable margins, therefore, we are as good as Florida. Just doesn't work.
UT beat MSU in Knoxville.

I hate new music for the most part because it's overproduced and most of the time the performers are horrid live. New stuff (which isn't even that new) Tool, RATM, Audioslave, Incubus (older stuff), Sublime.........etc. etc.
Was this an Audioslave slam? Blasphemy!

Wasn't that the guy who was mentioned in 40-year old virgin in a clip that said "If you don't take this off I'm going to shoot everyone here" (or something along those lines)?

Yes.

"If I have to hear 'Yamo Be There' one more time, I'm going to 'Yamo' burn this place to the ground."

This is a rivalry game, and folks, the records of each team can be thrown out. UK is on a 2-game slide after banging out 11 in a row. Both UT and UK are hungry for a win. You guys may be short Lofton, but we don't have a Power Forward to save our lives.

In the end, I think the Cats pull it out only on the grounds that it's at home, but it will be a return-to-classic-form UT/UK roundball grudge match.

Good luck, in the sense that nobody gets hurt. ;)

Dude, I'm just joshing with ya'!!!

Steely Dan is made up primarily of two guys, Donald Fagen and Walter Becker. They met in college in the late 60's. In their first band was a drummer. You may have heard of him.

Chevy Chase.

But obviously he went a different route. Fagen and Becker were into jazz and blues. They wrote mostly, for bands like Jay and the Americans.

Anyway, they ended up writing and recording and then touring a lot in the 70's and early 80's, then got back together in the 90's.

Some of the songs you may know:

Deacon Blues
Rikki Don't Lose That Number
Do It Again
FM
Peg
Hey Nineteen
Any Major Dude Will Tell You
Black Cow
Black Friday
Aja
Babylon Sisters

Don't forget "My Old School"...that was maybe the best song of all..

We don't have a Center to save our lives, and the way Chism and Crews have played the last couple of games, we aren't much better off at PF.

Good luck, in the sense that Randolph Morris is injured at the jump ball and will be out for the rest of the game.:p
