Obviously it's just an opinion of mine. Thought it was 10-8, 9-10, 9-10, 10-9, 9-10.
I don't think Diaz necessarily won, but I don't think it was a clear loss like two of the judges thought.

When it goes 5 rounds I'm looking more at damage than anything. Conor took some shots and was in trouble a few times. But Conor mauled him. His face was a mess, his leg looks awful and he landed a ton of body shots. Conor stuffed every takedown but that last meaningless one at the end of the 5th. He held his own in the clinch.
48-47 isn't a clear loss? It wasn't 50-44 or anything.
It was a 48-47 or 47-47 fight either way. Both guys clearly won two rounds, and you can argue who won the other round or whether round 1 was 10-8.
But it isn't like the judges scored it terribly...
Wasn't using "clear" in that sort of context.
At the end of the day, it's not a big deal. Just surprised Conor was given the majority. Fun fight, hopefully III will be just as good.
Yeah, Conor needs to drop back to 155. Definitely. He gave himself plenty of time to catch his breath and turned his back a bunch to run away. Understand it though. He did what he had to do to keep the fight alive.
Gotcha. I took it the wrong way.
Setting up a third is definitely in everyone's best interest for $'s sake.
And I'm not against it either. These fights have had me the most pumped up since Spider's heyday.
