Heh, I tune in to the end of this game by accident, and what do I see? A UConn offensive player, off the ball, walking right into the path of the on-ball defender to block her path. Didn't even try to hide it, never once stood still - just walked right into the defender and picked her with an illegal screen. Some things never change.

The greatest offensive "innovation" UConn brought to the game was making moving screens legal - for UConn. They did it thirty years ago. They do it today. What a joke.

Looks like Auriemma's strategy of leaving 3-pt specialist Fudd on the bench for most of the game so she could come in and be a heartbreaker of an assassin to take over the game, backfired.

SC leads 73-57 with 1 min to go. Paige can't buy a Buecker.

Final score: 73-57. Lots of turnovers and missed shots. SC outscored UConn 16-3 in the 4th quarter.
I'm busy working from home so I couldn't really pay attention to the game -- just got to take quick peeks now and then.

Amb, do you think Tennessee will be able to hang with these teams? I'm sure Kellie is thrilled to have film from this this top matchup this early in the season.

Kudos to both coaches for putting their cards on the table for all to see this early.

We might be able to beat this UConn team lol
Never thought I'd say it at the beginning of the season, but I agree with you. They can control the boards, and if Jordan continues to play at this torrid pace when Rae gets back, they will be better than they were last season. UConn won't beat Tennessee unless a.) they are on fire from deep and/or b.) they get Tamari into foul trouble early. Of course, both of these are highly possible scenarios, but Tennessee can beat them the same way they beat Texas if the outside shot is not falling for the Huskies.

UCONN will boat race Tennessee. They will be on fire that night. Jordan will have 3 fouls before halftime. Key will be in foul trouble. Rae probably want be back. And the refs will have had dinner at that coach who shall not be mentioned the night before.

Being sarcastic. These girls the way they play I have no clue. That USF win looks a lot better the way they are playing Oregon at the moment in the third. But all kidding aside UConn will get all the calls.

I have no idea how it goes either. The only thing I don't think happens is a Tennessee blowout, but I can see them being on the receiving end of a blowout, losing in a close game, or winning a close game.

UConn got all the calls today, and still lost by 16. Well, they weren't rewarded with flopping trying to draw charges, but a whistle was blown if a chicken dared to as much sneeze at them.

I was in the mood for some cheap entertainment, so I headed to the BY to read their post-game comments. My favorite was how they are b!tching about SC trash talks because Destanni and Zia gave a few "shush" gestures when they hit big shots in the 4th quarter as they continued to drive the fork into UConn. The horrors! What would DT say?
