Tyndall looking to bring some players?

This post is evidence as to why people say UT Fans have no class. When reading all the statements on VN about Coach Martin, i have to say that I tend to agree and it makes me sick.

But at least Coach Dooley isn't the butt of VN jokes now, it will be Coach Martin. (2 VERY FINE MEN AS I SEE IT, but VN chooses to show it's a$$ regarding these names). I would like to see coaches Dooley and Martin come down to your job and talk S&%$ to you as you work, you wouldn't like that would you?

Keep it classy knoxville.

Comparing CCM's class to CDD is an insult to CCM. Love him or hate him CCM by all accounts was a quality person who treated those around him with respect. CDD on the other hand was a spoiled arogant horse's arse who disrespected most folks who crossed his path. I find it amusing how many folks hang on to the idea of CDD being a classy southern gentleman like his father when there are countless accounts of his behavior being just the opposite.

Seriously? Dooley was known to be an ass and had managed to anger every high school coach in Tennessee in 3 years.

You're going to go with THAT as a retort? Weak sauce my friend. If he could have won 9 games you wouldn't have cared about angering a bunch of HS coaches in one of the worst Football States in the USA. VolNation showing it's colors again, IMHO.

Wins and Losses are Temporary, CHARACTER IS FOREVER

No, you're going with a down right brain dead line of logic. Dooley became well known for treating people that worked for him like crap and for not doing anything with local coaches.

It kinda sucks to see those local guys that suck so bad going to places like Alabama and starting for their national championship teams because our head coach acts like the king of the world around high school coaches.

Jmo on this, in order...

Octavius Ellis- he's not a commit so shouldn't be hard to bring him to Tennessee as far as he hasn't signed anything. Now maybe he has no interest in Tennessee, but that would be a monster pickup.

Jaysean Paige- this one might not have a chance as he signed last week with USM. If they for some reason decide to release him then I would expect Tyndall to pursue him.

Edson Avila- not really sure what would have to transpire here for it to happen. He's currently enrolled at USM, but hasn't played a game.

I have never trusted anyone that would not look who they are talking to in the eyes. Check out Martin's pressers and interviews. He looks down when talking , most of the time.

Let's see if Tyndall looks who he is answering in the eyes. Take it from an old man, that says a lot about someone.

But when you do nothing but lose and have a sorry character to boot, it makes it easy to fire you.

Dooley was the worst coach Tennessee football ever had. Type "worst Tennessee coach" and Dooley is the first to pop up. No other Tennessee coach and certainly not in recent history has ever been that bad. And Tennessee high school talent has improved drastically, so yeah, it's important not to slam doors at home.

Yeah, if he won nine games we probably wouldn't care, but we hired him to win games and he proved inept on just about every level. He had three seasons and never had a winning record. He basically stole from the AD. His buyout was disgusting.

I think we keep Cofer and Turman don't know about the other two. I think he really likes the point guard he has signed at Southern Miss and Cornish is in a wait and see mode.

That is something my dad taught me many years ago and it is very true. A man that will not look you in the eyes has problems and cannot be trusted.

Some people just lack confidence. Of course, that would be a bad trait for a coach as well.

I will say that with Cuonzo, I thought it was just his way and didn't really indicate anything.

Larry Austin is one of the best defensive PGs in the nation, so I have a hard time believing DT wouldn't "want" him, but maybe Austin doesn't want to be here now.

I said someone that will not look you in the eyes cannot be trusted. I did not say they are the only people that can't be trusted.

I have hired a few hundred people during my career and not one time did I or would I hire anyone that continually looked at the floor during the interview.

I will ever trust anyone that does not look at me when he/she is talking to me. If you want to go ahead, that is your business. One day you may remember that ole Gramps warned you about such people.

Character means nothing if wins don't follow. As the saying goes, you don't win with choir boys. :hi:
