Jason has no intentions of being in Norman long term. He wants to coach in the NFL.

Even if Cooper starts out at OU, I’m putting it 51/49 or better he ends up at Tennessee at some stage in his career. Has great relationships here and legacy means more to the family than folks might think.

Can’t blame the kid. To go to the place his dad had just been hired? No brainer for the kid and be with his dad on campus ? We all saw this coming when his dad was hired. Maybe at some point, he transfers here if it doesn’t work out or his father moves on. Either way, we’ll be fine.

Closer to home, has his Dad. Yeah, no brainer.

If TN were competing for Titles, may make more sense. But getting boat raced by a BG10 team in the Papa John's Vegetarian Pie and Bread Sticks for $19.99 . Com Bowl doesnt win us any favors.

why is it obvious he never would? OU only became the leader when they hired his dad. previously there wasn't a real frontrunner. plenty of time to change and I am pretty sure someone in his family reached out and told the staff to keep recruiting him. so it doesn't seem like it should be considered locked down.

Jason Witten's son,Cooper, has committed to the Oklahoma Sooners. The 5* LB is following his dad to Norman where Jason has been hired to coach tight ends. This sucks. Go Vols!

Does Witten have any sort of relationship with our school? I don’t recall ever seeing him on the sidelines or at being at a game.
