'26 TX ATH Legend Bey

Don’t hate it at all but are we gonna play more WRs next year? I know we had lack of depth and injuries this year but that rotation has always been tight.

I’m not even saying we should plan more WRs. Only asking if we are planning to?

Fair enough. After the Boo and Nico drama, I just want players who also want to be here, not feeling forced to be here.
Well, they are gonna initially want to be here because we paid them to be here and then when another bidder comes bidding then most likely we will bid them adieu. Little to no school loyalty with the top talent.

Boo had character issues well before he ever decided to commit to here.

NIL will always play a factor for most players. But Bey doesn't have the same off-field concerns that would lead you to believe he would abandon the team in mid summer.

Do we really want someone here if they feel pressured to be here? I mean if he wants OSU I don’t want another head case, culture killer. Just use our fat stacks in the portal.
I think it comes down to how much he is wanting.

if its more than the guys in front of him, tell him to pound sand.
if its more than he previously had, but in line with what some others are getting, you listen.

and what actually went into his decommitment. its easy to make assumptions, but we don't know any details.

Did TN have a chance to counter offer?
Did he burn any bridges/lie to the staff?
was he upfront about his demands, and something legitimately changed?

dude is talented but would rather have a safety or corner

These southern kids and their obsession with Ohio State is something I'll never get. Their stadium is not as good as the stadiums down south. The weather is worse. And Ohio State generally plays nobody whose a challenge until the playoffs. I just don't get the appeal.

I would pick several SEC schools over Ohio State just based on competition every time.

One of the very best programs in cfb. Might have something to do with it.

I'm going to guess it has something to do with the national championships and hardly ever losing.

I'll give you some props. You're still one of the better trolls on VN. Keep shining that Dobbs Heisman trophy next to your bedside

You never know what motivates athletes. The B10 currently has a larger handful at the top with IU, but no way has the overall strength of the SEC. A higher percentage of down ballot teams.

Would games in reasonable driving distance be a factor with TX TAM OK ARK and maybe LSU AND no west coast games be the motivation of the referenced internal push for VOL consideration? Some real expensive road games. Some colder climes too. KY the coldest clime vs MN WI PSU and others on the schedule. Could the end of OSU UM influenced his insiders? Simple SEC regional bias?

Kid needs to follow his FINAL gut that he will reach as signing day approaches. OSU is a shinier spot for sure.

I don’t feel a late reflip, but would not be shocked by a non OSU signing even if not UT if proximity is growing in importance. A compromise for practical game attendance. His and his insiders weighting may be different.

His potential is absolutely intriguing.

If we could have a rotation used we would kill a defense. Send out group one for a series and then group 2. I would have someone running deep on every play to wear them down.
