My wife is a Carolina fan (yes, it's already getting interesting in the house), so I've managed to catch a couple of their games this year. Here's what I can think of off the top of my head.
LB Bruce Carter is an animal. He's all over the field, seriously. I'm going to be very surprised if he's not taken within the first 16 picks of the draft. He's that good.
LB Quan Sturdivant is another one. He's got low first-high second round ability. If there's a dropoff between one side of LB'ers and the other, it's not a lot.
RB/PR/KR Da'Norris Searcy is quick as a hiccup. Out of all of UNC's players, he's the one I'm going to be watching the most. He IS what we're hoping that Devrin Young can be.....electric with the ball in his hands.
I don't remember his first name, but the DE by the name of Moss, if my memory serves me correctly, was the #1 DE prospect in the nation a couple years back.
QB T.J. Yates reminds me a lot of Crompton (pre- and post-awakening). He has times where he looks really good, and their offense moved quite well. However, if the opposing DL can start getting a little pressure on him, he tends to get flustered, and will throw up INT's.
As previously stated, their secondary is not very good at all, and I think will have a hell of a time covering DMo, GJ, and Bones. Tauren may not have the best of days on the ground (realistically, I'm expecting sub-100 yards), but as soon as Tyler gets in a rhythm, it's going to be fun to watch. I'll post more information about their roster as I think of it, but as it stands now, I'm looking at 31-21 Big Orange.
EDIT: Da'Norris Searcy is a SS, not a RB. My bad.
