I'm not worried about it .. Dave Hart will make a change if needed. All I know is, I wait for football season for an Eternity in the Spring/Summer. The season is almost over!! Let's cheer our Vols on and get to a bowl game!!
Just counted. Not including stickies, it took me counting twenty. Let me repeat, TWENTY, threads reading down the football forum to find a thread about the game tomorrow. That thread topic was comparing Troy to Akron. Now, I realize that a lot of optimism has been lost on this year. That being said, tomorrow is game day. It is homecoming. Our beloved VOLS are hitting the field. Is it possible that, just maybe we could actually talk some football on the football forum? I'll start.
1) What are some predictions for the game tomorrow?
2) What players stand out?
3) What approach do you think the defense will take to the game? Prevent big play like Akron or press hard like USC possibly allowing big plays.
4) How many yards rushing you think the Vols have?
5) Please feel free to discuss any other topics actually related to the game tomorrow
I'm sorry, I am tired of all the negativity in this forum surrounding this team. We have four (hopefully five) games left. I am going to enjoy them regardless of who our coach is. Go VOLS. Flame aways
No body cares about the game right now. Tomorrow at 12:15, sure ... right now, no.
k, does this qualify as apathy? Am I excited like NC St. to start the season or UF finally going to end the streak? No, but my team is playing tomorrow. Thought it might be good to actually have some football talk in the football forum.
This.
It is kinda depressing that I'm not excited though. I remember the days, no matter who we played, I was hype. Butterflies. Ready to run through a wall. Now .... meh
Just as a passing note for those that might like to know.....Troy's QB Corey Robinson grew up in Kentucky as a big TN Vols fan. He was a Mr.Football winner in that state. Comes from Paducah, KY. When he was growing up he was a big Peyton Manning fan just like all the rest of us. He wanted to play QB & be as best as he could just to be like his hero, Manning. His father has a dog named Rocky Top. He wanted to come & play for his beloved TN Vols but the recruiting & the offer never came to him. So he ended up at Troy. He's looking forward to playing against his first love the TN Vols. He also can't wait to play against Tyler Bray who he thinks is one of the best QBs in the nation. His stats are pretty good compared to Bray...he slings the ball all over the field too & accurate as a passer with 1806 yards with 8 interceptions. I understand that if he goes out with an injury his backup is a dual threat QB that can run & throw really good as well. This game may come down to a field goal to see who wins out. GBO and whip dey ass.
