Turns out there is a game tomorrow

High scoring game, something along the lines of 42-31. I hope it's not a close game in the 4th quarter or we could be in trouble.

I think the Vols win 52-35, something along those lines. If Neal plays, UT will probably have 200 yds. rushing for the game. Bray should be able to get over 300 yards passing and hopefully the defense can make a few stops along the way.

Yeah, I know they'll probably hang with us for a bit, but I hope we can eventually shake them like we did Akron.

I'm not worried about it .. Dave Hart will make a change if needed. All I know is, I wait for football season for an Eternity in the Spring/Summer. The season is almost over!! Let's cheer our Vols on and get to a bowl game!!

This.

It is kinda depressing that I'm not excited though. I remember the days, no matter who we played, I was hype. Butterflies. Ready to run through a wall. Now .... meh

Just counted. Not including stickies, it took me counting twenty. Let me repeat, TWENTY, threads reading down the football forum to find a thread about the game tomorrow. That thread topic was comparing Troy to Akron. Now, I realize that a lot of optimism has been lost on this year. That being said, tomorrow is game day. It is homecoming. Our beloved VOLS are hitting the field. Is it possible that, just maybe we could actually talk some football on the football forum? I'll start.

1) What are some predictions for the game tomorrow?

2) What players stand out?

3) What approach do you think the defense will take to the game? Prevent big play like Akron or press hard like USC possibly allowing big plays.

4) How many yards rushing you think the Vols have?

5) Please feel free to discuss any other topics actually related to the game tomorrow

I'm sorry, I am tired of all the negativity in this forum surrounding this team. We have four (hopefully five) games left. I am going to enjoy them regardless of who our coach is. Go VOLS. Flame aways

No body cares about the game right now. Tomorrow at 12:15, sure ... right now, no.

k, does this qualify as apathy? Am I excited like NC St. to start the season or UF finally going to end the streak? No, but my team is playing tomorrow. Thought it might be good to actually have some football talk in the football forum.

I think it will be a high scoring game. If I were betting I would bet an over of 80. We have made every opposing qb look great. I suppose that will happen tomorrow. I surely hope we win; the players have worked very hard and haven't given up. No matter who the opponent a win is always great and a morale booster.

I'd rather speculate about our future without Dooley (a very exciting thought for me) than talk about our game against Troy. Sadly that's what people want to talk about.

If we were winning it would be the same but in the positive direction ... for instance, we would be talking about what bowl we're going to or weighing our chances of winning the east or talking about recruiting, etc.

Point is.... it's Troy.

That's because we play Troy. Not really a game that needs much discussing. We should steam roll them. If we don't, God help Dooley.

Hey OP - Win or lose, I'll be there cheering on the Big Orange. I think Troy will test the resiliency of our team for the full 60 min. From what I hear, Troy is a physical team and they don't have a problem bringing it to you on every down.

I believe we'll win, but I think the score will be tighter than predicted by the spread. Troy will obviously exercise our Secondary; and, apparently Dooley & Sunseri are prepared to throw freshmen into the DB and Secondary positions in order to hopefully add some speed to the Defense tomorrow.

Just as a passing note for those that might like to know.....Troy's QB Corey Robinson grew up in Kentucky as a big TN Vols fan. He was a Mr.Football winner in that state. Comes from Paducah, KY. When he was growing up he was a big Peyton Manning fan just like all the rest of us. He wanted to play QB & be as best as he could just to be like his hero, Manning. His father has a dog named Rocky Top. He wanted to come & play for his beloved TN Vols but the recruiting & the offer never came to him. So he ended up at Troy. He's looking forward to playing against his first love the TN Vols. He also can't wait to play against Tyler Bray who he thinks is one of the best QBs in the nation. His stats are pretty good compared to Bray...he slings the ball all over the field too & accurate as a passer with 1806 yards with 8 interceptions. I understand that if he goes out with an injury his backup is a dual threat QB that can run & throw really good as well. This game may come down to a field goal to see who wins out. GBO and whip dey ass.

I'm still hype , never lost it , hard for me to make games this year due starting a business, but my niece is 6 now and I'm molding her into a UT fan/Vol For Life!
At the playground after school she saw a boy with a BAMA shirt on and asked him if he had all his teeth, he smiled said nope just lost 2, then she ran to me and said your right uncle Bubba ! Bammers never have all their teeth!
I was rolling laughing , she ran around yelling GO VOLS! GO VOLS!
I will never lose my hype , I'm actually a "real TENNESSEE fan!
Go figure.

I'm going to be sick to my stomach when our secondary inevitably gives up the huge plays. It's not if, just a matter of when it happens.
