To my untrained eye, Chryst looks better. He puts the ball in a good place for them to keep running.
He just looks and acts the part imo. Very composed. His throwing motion is smoother and release is quicker. I know i'd be rolling with him but i'm not coach. That long ball he threw was the prettiest deep ball i've seen in a TN jersey in at least 5 years too.

So, this is about the only thing which worries me a little about Fulmer. I like Fulmer and am glad he's at AD. But, unless Pruitt asked Fulmer to come "chime in some", I think this could develop into a bit of a rif. Pruitt doing fine. Now, if Pruitt asked him to come "emphasize" importance of development, then that's OK. There could be some value in young players seeing the emphasis by coaches and AD on the OL, from and encouragement standpoint. First impression is that it's unnecessary and doesn't help Pruitt. Phil needs to not meddle and let Pruitt do this thing his way.

Could be CJP asked Fulmer to talk to the linemen and see where their heads at possibly fixing some issues, or get them to play like a unit rather than 5 individuals. So many times we don't have all the facts and jump to conclusions on partial ones and the problem just isn't that big. If I were CJP with a young, unmotivated, passive o line and I had Fulmers background as a resource I'm going to approach him.

JJ's body language has me concerned. He doesnt look like a guy "into" being here. I dont have a good feeling about him. I just dont think he'll be here long enough to make an impact.

He does look rather lethargic.....................

Massive respect for Fulmer sharing his legendary offensive line expertise with the offensive linemen. This is good! The first clip of the video shows a drill blocking their man and then going to the 2nd level to block another. It looks like players are drilling shoulder tackling too! All good stuff!

Nobody's claiming that Fulmer is trying to take over as head coach, so the snarky remarks are just that. The concern is, when Fulmer was hired for the AD position and hired a first time head coach, that Fulmer might try and run things, thus creating friction between himself and the new coach. Now, if he was asked to help out, fine. If he marched into CJP's office and said, as his boss, 'you need help with the line', then big problem. I mean, the guy we thought would need two years minimum to turn things around has had two lousy games.
I think some people are reading way too much into this

Hes dog tired, he ll catch up. Its gonna take a few weeks but he ll catch up

JJ probably intimidated by college classes and everything, including trying to catch up with getting into football shape. It appears he had to really hustle just to get here through the summer to get qualified.
I’ll be surprised if he gives it all up very easily.

Doubt it... there’s a reason Phil maneuvered his way back into the program. The guys always known how to play politics. Even if Pruitt leaves because he’s tired of Fulmers meddling, Phil will just play it out like it was Pruitt’s fault or something and come in as the interim as the “savior”.

Smart man is Phil Fulmer...

Fulmer being around the offensive linemen says a lot about Pruitt. He is willing to do what it takes to be successful. Most coaches would have too much pride to allow that to happen.

Might as well let Fulmer help with O-line. Will Friend doesn't seem to be getting through to them.

I know, I know. But Chryst seems to get the ball out quicker. JG always seems to hold it a second or 2 more. Not saying Chryst is better or should start, but he does get the ball out quicker and seems to lead the WR a bit better than JG.

Chryst doesn't have the zip on the ball that JG has, his ball seems to float and wobble over to the WR. He reminds me of Justin Worley in his Junior season at UT.

It like coach Pruitt said before the West Virginia game, JG is the starter because he gives us the best chance to win.

This pass looked like a pretty tight spiral to me.... Didn't see any wobbling.

Worley threw more TD passes than JG.... Lol... I'm wishing JG all the success but need him to start throwing TDs. 1 TD in 2 games is unacceptable.

Edit: Chryst has only thrown 3 passes and has 1 TD....

I agree with you, but I also believe we have a winner for a coach. He's going to use the QB who will win games. My "untrained" eye favors Chryst as well.
