Tuesday practice highlights

37 seconds in...Milton looks to catch a long return throw that hit his hand awkwardly...right thumb definitely affected.

Why the hell does he not have someone catching those throws...a year removed from thumb ligament surgery....like QB’s use to?! Smh...

That does seem stupid.

He was throwing the ball fine after that, but still it is a good point.

Exactly..... CJH IMHO should have seen to this. If not CJH the QB coach should have. Looks like all the QB's are catching throwbacks. SMH

If receivers aren’t available then use a coach/aide...

Injury to the fingers/hand is the very reason this practice has a long history.

Not concerned...at around 2:19 or so shows him throwing some nice, crisp passes that are on target.
Once thing I did notice at that 2:19 mark is Milton still not moving his feet "in the pocket" like Bailey and Herndon are doing right next to him...BUT, there is a coach (can't tell but it appears to be Heupel) right behind Milton talking him up...I dare say there is correction happening there, which is refreshing.

I saw that too, but I was gonna try and not read into it.

That's on Heupel. It's the little things. Nice catch.

I assume they're loosening up and throwing to the scrub QBs because none of them are having to move much on what seem like pretty long throwbacks. Ridiculous to let a QB catch anything beyond 15yds. Just risky and unnecessary, IMO.
