The love for #15 blows my mind. Nothing against the kid at all but dang. He’s been there 2 years and 2 coaches and still 3rd on the depth chart and y’all crap yourself every time he appears n a video hahahahaha.

Maybe that is because the guy has looked much more accurate than any UT has had in the last 5 or more years!!! I will go on record saying you will be eating your words no later than the USC game!!!! If Bailey doesn't shine at UT this year, he will transfer to another P5 school and shine elsewhere in the fall of 2022!!!

Thank you, Mrs. Bailey.
Not surprised that VN includes so many posters smarter than our HC, OC and QB coach. Well done!

Some have followed since his Freshman year, but at the end of the day, we all have to respect the coaches decision to go with who he thinks is the best QB to win with now.
That’s where you’re wrong. We in know way have to respect the coach’s decision. Dooley, Pruitt, Butch. Until proven otherwise I have no reason to trust Heupel.

I can't be the only one to think that Milton treated that game like a scrimmage. His scrambles looked to be half hearted and really just trying to not take a sack more than trying to make a big play. I am not really sure on his assignment progression as it looked as if he had open WR's that he didn't make it to on his progression. Which yeah I get it a couple times he had 8+ seconds so really no reason to miss those. We will definitely know more this week if he continues to get plenty of time in the pocket and continues to hold the ball. I said this in another thread and will here. He had our OL in the right set all but what looked to be 1 play. The past 4 years we struggled getting our OL in the right set. Even against terrible teams we still had protection issues.
I noticed that too. When he did take off running whenever he got to a defender he just kinda stopped and gave up. I know qbs aren’t running backs but his yac yards were nothing

To be fair, we’ve all seen it before. A coach rolls out a QB, only to fall flat on his face and get replaced by the backup, who shows out. We can’t pretend that coaches are never wrong in their assessment of players. With that said, I think we’re getting a little ahead of ourselves by already writing off Milton. Honestly, I don’t really care who the QB is, as long as he plays smart and hard, continues to improve, runs the offense effectively and gives this team a chance to win.
GBO!!

37 seconds in...Milton looks to catch a long return throw that hit his hand awkwardly...right thumb definitely affected.

Why the hell does he not have someone catching those throws...a year removed from thumb ligament surgery....like QB’s use to?! Smh...

May have been nothing, but he was pulling on his thumb at about 18 seconds as well.

People act like just bc we aren't a "coach" or "scout" we don't have eyes and can't see what is right in front of us during game action. Everyone kept saying"trust the coaches" during the last 3 abysmal JG years and look where it got us. When HB came in last year, he did a fine job and the difference was night and day btw him and JG. Hell, even when Mauer would come in for a series or two, the difference was night and day. I've played, coached and watched enough football to at least know when a QB holds the ball too long and is indecisive on his decision making. Hopefully, Milton improves in game two, I'll root for him too bc he is a VOL, but if he doesn't, then it's time to give either Hooker or Bailey a chance.

They always say the biggest improvement happens btw games 1 and 2. For Milton's sake and ours as fans, I surely hope so. If not, he is just JG 2.0.

Used to be, we just watched these videos to see and hear guys smacking each other in football pads. Now everyone is an armchair coach, sprinkling in football jargon and declaring what needs to be "fixed." The internet has made everybody an expert...in their own minds.

Hilarious isn’t it? Instead of making great money as college football coaches, these experts in here have nothing better to do than think they can coach behind a keyboard.

Armchair coach confirmed

But, but , but he looked amazing against scrubs in the spring game!!!!! So therefore we all know he should be starting!!
Chill guys I’m not trying to be an a$$ I just can’t get it. If he comes in and burns the place down I’ll be just as happy as any of u guys!! I just want the best qb that gives us the best chance to win. Idk who that guy is. I’m not there everyday. I think it’s a good possibility that we have our receivers up on a higher pedestal than they should be. They have to help out qb out no matter who’s throwing the ball. They have to create space and read the defense as well.
