I don't see any significant differences between their defense and ours. I think they've both played admirably with the amount of time they are spending on the field.
This is obviously a CYA move by Tubbs. At least in my humble opinion.
I dont know about the Auburn situation but firing Clawson does nothing to address the numerous issues we have seen:
* Defensive penalties to extend opponents drives
* Soft coverage late in the UCLA game
* Interceptions
* Fumbles
* Offensive penalties to kill our drives
* Blocked punts
* Punt returned for a touchdown
* Kick off retuned into our territory
I think this sets a precedent. However, Fulmer firing Clawson would just be searching for a scapegoat. I figured Chavis would be that scapegoat. Who knows, maybe both will be.
Didn't Borges also go from a freakin' genius to a moron overnight under Tubby's watch?
Borges went from being a genius to a moron when he suddenly didn't have 3 NFL first rounders in the backfield.
