TrumPutinGate

That was my thinking when VP dropped out, and I first noticed OBVol , but how do you explain the number of posts and likes that OBVol has if he just started?

It's an older account. Used it in the other various sub forums.
Then bounced over to the political forum. Less suspicion is drawn that way.

Wow

Michael Flynn, President Trump’s former national security adviser, reportedly discussed ways to take a man wanted by the Turkish government out of the United States without going through the legal extradition process, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The conversation, which took place during the presidential race while Flynn was serving as an unpaid adviser to Trump, centered around Turkish cleric Fethullah Gulen.

Having seen Trump's comments following today's events, I'm forced to conclude that he is even a more pathetic president than I had previously thought. I'm concerned with how low he can actually go.

The problem wasn't today (although blaming Democrats was dumb).

The problem was all the hallow claims he made before about having an awesome plan when he clearly didn't.

Never his fault, right?

Why not just say, "We know we have to act. The current system is unsustainable. I shouldn't have pushed this first, but I did it because I really want us to get this corrected. So what I'm going to do is pull the bill now, and arrange some conferences with leadership in both chambers, including Democrats, to see if we can get past our differences and pass a good fix to the system. I'm open to all ideas, let's see if we can get this done."

That would almost be presidential.

I remember thinking this same thing back in 2009.

Difference is, he passed it. Plus, the GOP announced as he was inaugurated that they would not cooperate with him on anything, no matter what.

If the GOP came up with a plan that kept the number of insured the same as now, and created more competition and lower price options, I don't see why the Dems would not be on board.

Again, though, the only way to get this done is to have young healthy people paying in, while they are low cost. Anything else is just kicking the can just a little further down the road.

He only says what he knows people want to hear; it's unfortunate that the strategy works. I do believe that people are slowly but surely waking up.
