When this is all said and done, so many of you will have a lot of explaining to do to your own consciences that you excused, dodged, minimized, or took delight in arguing to block exposure of Trump as a Russian stooge. Its just amazing how the need to defend Trump at all costs blinds you to what it is you are defending.

On your first point effort does not equal outcome. Intelligence agencies (Federal and State) have been looking into the issue for going on 3 years and have continually stated they've seen no evidence that votes were swayed or outcomes changed. None, nada, zip. Could they be wrong? Sure but arguing that it can't be proven it had no effect is a meaningless argument.

On your second point no one is condoning collusion. Is it treason? Depends but regardless no one is condoning it. However, the charges of quid pro quo have not only not be validated, they haven't even been levied. In the heralded indictments from the investigation to date there are no charges of anything in your second point.

I understood the implications of my post.
None of that changes the fact that elections are decided by the middle 20% which do not have strong ties to either party.

Legally it would probably center on intent. A wink, a nod, pig latin or a lantern in a church steeple can convey an unmistakable message. It doesn't have to be straightforward English as long as both parties understand.

Not when trying to impeach a president .. you better have more than a washed up lawyer that couldn’t buy another client after exposing that he likes to record them and his “ code words “ . To say he has credibility problems is an understatement of epic proportions . I’ll go ahead a get in front of your response here “ Trump , credibility problems , liar “ etc .... None of that matters because you have to have enough to convience the senate to impeach . A wink and a nod won’t get’er done .

Yes he will. He is no longer lying to protect Trump but telling the truth to protect himself. He knows what is at risk if he is caught in additional lies.

When does a liar tell the truth? When it's in their best interest to do so. That is Cohen's current position.

I just want to get this straight ok just for myself ... so your saying Trump tells the truth when he’s protecting himself or in his best interest to do so ? We just witnessed Paul Manafort lie ( according to the judge ) to everybody and have his “ deal “ taken away by Mueller .

I've met a number of people in my life that are habitual liars. It's like they can't help themselves, they spin any story to fit what they want people to think at the time. Two days later they can't remember what story they told.
A coworker once used to have a poster on his wall that stated "If you always tell the truth you don't have to remember anything"

Manafort has yet to conclude that telling the truth is in his best interest.
