Trivia point. Tarmac actually refers to the material used in road or other paved surface construction.

With regards to airports the terms apron, ramp, and tarmac get used to normality refer to the same mixed vehicle use areas (IE not a taxi way or runway)

I know what Tarmac is, I'm just not used to seeing people in the biz calling it that. It's a laymans term.

Ah ok. But I’d still say that the origin is stil a bit obscure referring to the material makeup of the surfacing aggregate. By that measure many old country roads are “tarmacs” also.

It is a mistake to speak in absolute terms regarding the behavior of other groups of people: It's on display here all the time and done mostly in support of Trump's lack of integrity and decorum: Everyone lies, every liberal will dance on Trump's grave, everyone is egotistical... This logic represents an absence of sophistication and a focus on an inward-looking perspective of the world where projection is necessary and where people who are different than one's self are hard to make sense of - so, they must be a fraud.

I'm curious, specifically which of the words did you think were complex and needed pictures? Also, what made you think I needed help on this subject? I fly general aviation frequently.
