Whether or not Donald Trump knew about the June 9, 2016 meeting at Trump Tower before it took place is not the point (although, he was making promises of big news to come on Hillary Clinton in rallies the days before the meeting took place), the point is that Trump crafted a false narrative aboard Air Force One where he denied that the purpose of the meeting was to obtain dirt on Hillary Clinton and said that only Russian adoptions were discussed. His dishonesty is the point. He was trying to cover up the true purpose behind that meeting and that lends itself to valid suspicion.

Actually the Trump Tower meeting has been a huge point for you lefties. But since it fell apart and you can’t sell it you’re now trying to change the narrative to something else you hope to sell.

But I’m sure they just talked about grandkids anyway. 🙄

What do you mean "it fell apart" ? It happened and Trump lied about it. At first, he crafted a statement aboard Air Force One that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss Russian adoptions with Natalia Veselnitskaya. He has since admitted that was a lie and the real purpose was to obtain dirt on Hillary Clinton. Trump Jr. has been caught in lies concerning how many Russian operatives were in the meeting. There is nothing which needs to be sold. That meeting is the foundation for a case of collusion between the Russian government and the 2016 Donald Trump campaign for President. It was incredibly bad judgement.

I find it hilarious how you guys go all in on Russian collusion and Trump Tower meeting as definitive proof while completely ignoring/excusing the Loretta Lynch & Bill Clinton Tarmac meeting as a spontaneous event to discuss golf and grandkids only days before Comey's July 2016 statement publicly cleared Hillary from further investigation of private email server and mishandling classified information.

The double standard is hysterical.

It's not that it's ignored. I never argue with anyone who says that the Clintons are guilty of unethical behavior including some crimes and cover-ups. What Fox News and many other conservatives are having a hard time digesting, is that the Clintons just aren't important anymore. Neither one of them currently holds an office or is ever going to hold an office again. They are politically dead. The only reason to talk about them is to play "what-about-ism" and deflect public attention away from Trump's scandals.

And if there was nothing wrong with the meeting at Trump Tower, then why did Trump lie about what was discussed? Why did Trump Jr. lie about how many Russians were there?

I think what you and many libs fail to see is what many conservatives really want. And thats equal justice for all. The fact that the Clintons have committed felonies and yet have never been brought up on any charges is very disturbing. You libs only focus on Trump, because you loathe him. Yet there is literally no evidence of the so called Russia collusion and Trump. Yet there is evidence linking Hillary to Russia. But you wont acceot that.

I have no problem with Trump being investigated. But shouldnt crimes like perjury be equally punishable for all Americans?

This is ridiculous. We focus on Trump because he is the President of the United States. If he had lost the election? I wouldn't care if he had colluded in Russia's interference or not. I wouldn't care if he had broken any laws or not... and once again, the June 9, 2016 meeting at Trump Tower is evidence of collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign. If nothing was improper about that meeting? Why lie about it?

And this post just reinforces my statements on you. People bash conservatives about whataboutism but here you are putting on full display. Your post just echoes the sentiments of liberals ever since Trump was elected. Oh well breaking laws really doesnt matter. Only if you are the president. Basically you are saying that any politician who isnt the president can do whatever they want and you just dont care. Bravo BB, way to show your sheep colors. Truth is, if you wind up with a president that cannot be trusted to tell the truth, on a daily basis, that's a pretty good reason to not want him to be your president.

Not all human beings lie... not all wealthy human beings lie. I doubt you have ever been quite so forgiving of the lies of Bill Clinton. The meeting itself is evidence that collusion may have occurred and the e-mails between Trump Jr. and Rob Goldstone confirm that aiding the Trump campaign with dirt on Hillary Clinton was it's mission. The lies of both Trump and Trump Jr. further add to the suspicion that what happened in that meeting was something illicit and they didn't want it uncovered. It shows a consciousness of guilt on their part.

And my post you quoted had nothing to do with "what-about'ism"... I explained why Trump is more important as a focus. I don't care if the Clintons are prosecuted. They mean nothing to the Democratic Party anymore. Go for it. That just isn't as important as the actions of a sitting President.

Interviewer Jorge Ramos asked Obama about the controversial "Fast and Furious" program, in which federal agents allowed guns to be sold and brought into Mexico so they could trace the weapons. But the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) ended up losing track of some of the guns. Two were found at the crime scene where U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry was killed on Dec. 14, 2010.

"I think it’s important for us to understand that the Fast and Furious program was a field-initiated program begun under the previous administration," Obama responded. "When (Attorney General) Eric Holder found out about it, he discontinued it. We assigned an inspector general to do a thorough report that was just issued, confirming that in fact Eric Holder did not know about this, that he took prompt action and the people who did initiate this were held accountable."

A day before Obama’s Univision interview, the U.S. Department of Justice’s Inspector General released a 512-page report about Fast and Furious.

The report also clearly shows that Fast and Furious began under the Obama administration, dating its inception to October 2009. (Obama took office in January 2009.) This directly contradicts Obama’s claim.
