TrumpPutingate III: the beginning of the end

The point that refutes my understanding that Nobody can walk down the classified hall and start turning pages without a need. You didn't have a point to make.

I beg to differ that you did try to argue against him getting access.

Still does not give him the unregulated right to see whatever he wants. Some things are above his pay grade. As I said, if he was not running that sham committee they would have already had it. I thought they shut down their investigation. Did they open another?

He does have a right to this information based on the Committee he is over but he does not have the right to everything. I would imagine it would have to be subpoenaed and given release clearance. Maybe it was an invalid request since he "recused" himself most of last year.

Sorry it took so long but you know investigations take a while.

Nobody is saying he just wanders into the FBI and starts looking through files. But as a member of the House Committee on Intelligence, he does have the right to request to read such things. And that whole checks and balances things does force the FBI to allow access unless there are significant mitigating circumstances.

You didn't earn your Citizenship in the Nation merit badge, did you?

Exclusive: Inside the GOP plan to discredit Comey - CNNPolitics

President Donald Trump's allies are preparing an extensive campaign to fight back against James Comey's publicity tour, trying to undermine the credibility of the former FBI director by reviving the blistering Democratic criticism of him before he was fired nearly a year ago.

The battle plan against Comey, obtained by CNN, calls for branding the nation's former top law enforcement official as "Lyin' Comey" through a website, digital advertising and talking points to be sent to Republicans across the country before his memoir is released next week. The White House signed off on the plan, which is being overseen by the Republican National Committee.

Could also go with "leaky Comey"

Seems as though both Dems and Trump supporters should be united in their dislike of Comey.

Build your straw man and I will tear it down.

Hmm

What information does he not have the right to see?

By law all classified information originates from a single persons authority. Guess who that is? All other authority is derived from the authority of that office.

So Trump has a lawful right to view every single piece of classified information this country has. And anybody he designates can also.

And don’t waste your time arguing otherwise until you go read a bit.

I wouldn't argue against that but in the case at hand, Trump didn't do that so Nunes went through the proper channel. It took a while because Mueller was buying time before Trump knows how it began.

I wonder why Trump hasn't just sent someone down and took a peak. Maybe he has.

“He brought up what he called the ‘golden showers thing’ … adding that it bothered him if there was ‘even a one percent chance’ his wife, Melania, thought it was true,” Comey writes

“He just rolled on, unprompted, explaining why it couldn’t possibly be true, ending by saying he was thinking of asking me to investigate the allegation to prove it was a lie. I said it was up to him.”

The conversation took place during the same private dinner on Jan. 27, 2017, where Comey as claims the president demanded “loyalty” — and just days after the publication of an intelligence dossier alleging that the Kremlin had a tape of Trump paying prostitutes to perform the dirty deed on a bed once occupied by President Obama.

Comey: Trump asked me to investigate ‘pee tape’ to reassure Melania

So question to all the pitchfork bearers. Let’s say Mueller finds the ultimate evidence. Can he indict Trump? By what authority? Can you find precedent?

Let’s say he indicts somehow? Can POTUS be convicted of a crime? By what method?

So how do you all actually get him out of office if he follows thru on the joke and kills somebody in Times Square?

the point is to find/make up a crime bad enough to impeach. You know instead of investigating an actual crime.

hopefully everyone realizes there is almost a zero chance of Trump going to jail. some of the small guys (for lying, lol) will probably end up in jail so they can sell "results" but no one important is going. Important to the nation that is.

Rosenstein has consulted with the ethics adviser over the course of the investigation on whether he needs to recuse himself, and he has followed that individual's advice

There's some serious domino's you gotta follow here.

Mueller’s got DEEP TIES to the Obama swamp...this is very troubling EVIDENCE of Mueller’s deep and profound conflicts in his investigation of the Trump operation.

Yet more and more coincidences, this whole collusion thing was set-up, it's without a shadow of a doubt.
