TrumpPutingate III: the beginning of the end

Not necessary. Trump has already had his guys float the pardon angle. And it is why Manafort isn't dealing. Because to do so he would have to flip.

Or Manafort and his attorneys think he has a reasonable chance at being exonerated.

Just a thought.

I read it all. Manafort says they don’t have jurisdiction. Muller claims by this memo he does. He isn’t gonna just say Dang you’re right! Let’s see what the judge says. Plus not really sure how this validates initiation of the prosecutor in the first place. Nothing new disclosed in that memo that I can see does.

The rest of the specific scope is redacted so everything else is just conjecture. LG and Mick get all giggly and wet just knowing one paragraph says “you are to show the Trump / Russia Collusion thing isn’t made up and it’s real”. Only way to tell would be other indictments. One could guess any info on Gates could have been shown but if that doesn’t bear on Manafort’s specific case that’s probably why he didn’t show it.

Out of curiosity though Muller was appointed in May. Why issue a scope defining letter in August? Verbal direction only? Dumb and probably not a valid legal basis. So why so long?

If they think that, they're dumber than a houseplant. Manafort will never see freedom again, whether he has evidence on Trump or anyone else. His crimes are serious and numerous. I wouldn't doubt his old business partner Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska or one of the other Ukranian mob bosses has him rubbed out. Defrauding those guys usually doesn't end well for the perps.

Just what is an "honest flip"? A criminal gets off easy and another bigger criminal is caught.

Unethical and potentially illegal intimidation where they get them or force them to admit or say stuff that isn't true...in order to MANUFACTURE 'probable cause' to probe deeper into a bigger fish. Mueller and his team are on a mission, they bend things the way they need to bend them when they need to bend them. You may not know how this works, I dunno?
Maybe you should read Sidney Powell's book: Licensed To Lie – Exposing Corruption in the Department of Justice

Manafort's charges will be dropped or he will be exonerated in court, one of the two. If you really look into this the DOJ had every bit of evidence Muller has in 2014 and didn't think enough of it to levy charges.

Muller and Roenstien don't want this case in open court, they will use every means necessary to delay this case until Manafort is bled dry and can't defend himself.

Reality disagrees with you. So does Fox News. And this was before the new charges. In reality Manafort is probably holding out for a pardon from trump. He aint gonna get it. So dream on Buttercup.

"...“Possible federal jail time to this crime alone is 14 years and it depends in large part on the amount of the money that was laundered,” Claypool told FOX Business. “Defending Manafort on this charge is going to be daunting for his criminal defense lawyers because [Special Counsel Robert] Mueller’s team likely has ‘tangible evidence’ to support the trail of transfer of money, via money wire transfer orders and/or actual bank statements. This is devastating for Manafort.”"

Manafort's partner Rick Gates has already plead guilty to conspiracy against the United States and is cooperating with *Mueller. If they had every bit of the evidence before, then why did the FBI raid all his residences and cart out a truck-load of evidence? Manafort is screwed more than a gaggle of White House porn stars. You really need to read up on Manafort's past and current crimes. He makes Nixon's henchmen look like amateurs. It's disturbing that he and Kushner, who is even more corrupt than Manafort and Gates, were ever allowed around such a high profile Presidential campaign. Nauseating.

So the defining scope memo is early August. Manafort was charged in late October.

So under what specific direction was Muller operating under from May to August and when did he find a trail to Manafort? Might get interesting if that discovery timeline is before the scope memo issuance. When is a court ruling expected on this? I’d like to hear this timeline all laid out.

Why? That's simple, they want to make life as tough for him as possible to coerce a plea. That's why both Manaforts and Gate's bank accounts were frozen, break them to where they can't mount a defense. Then Muller files additional charges in another jurisdiction to further increase costs and burden.

Muller doesn't want this case in open court. The longer Manafort holds out watch for Muller to request that evidence be kept from the public or Muller's defense team for national security reasons.

I recommend Emetrol, for your nausea.

Manafort and Gates, who cares what they did 12 years ago. Lock em' up. Move on. Next.

If you Trumpkins think this is specifically about what happened 12 years ago, you're in for a bigly surprise.

Here's a decent history of this dirtbag's past and his shady financial crimes from years ago to up until he was Trump's campaign manager. It's pretty lengthy and wretched, so not sure if it's to your partisan liking.

yup. at least until the midterms are over. for burning out the Russian traitors this prosecutor is certainly dragging his feet on items that are already facts, and don't need to win the court of public opinion.

Manforts 1st trial is scheduled for July, want to bet Muller asks for a postponement?

Van Der Zwaan get 30 days in prison and $20K fines.

Wow. 30 days! Glad to see Mueller cracking down on those who have conspired against our great republic. Hopefully they won't let him out early on good behavior.

Maybe you missed what I said earlier, no one really cares.

Keep up the good fight to impeach 45 I guess, not sure what the point is in regards to it's relevance to the president whom I choose to support for the most part, rather than resist at EVERY turn.

Alex van der Zwaan, a Dutch citizen who lives in London, is the first person sentenced in connection with Mueller's investigation. Four other people have publicly pleaded guilty to date, but, unlike van der Zwaan, their plea deals included cooperation agreements, delaying their sentencings.

A Lawyer Who Admitted Lying To The Special Counsel'''s Office Was Just Sentenced To One Month In Jail

Welp...that's sure worth the millions of taxpayer dollars spent.

Interesting that he had no cooperation deal and still received a relatively light sentence.
