TrumpPutingate III: the beginning of the end

In the meantime, Trump must decide whether to do a face-to-face interview with Mueller's team — an answer the president's legal team expects to have in the next two weeks.

If the president agreed to a sit-down, the special counsel has told Trump's lawyers that he could finish within roughly 90 days a report on whether Trump sought to obstruct a probe into Russian interference in the 2016 campaign, according to two people familiar with the discussions.

Its a trap only honesty can resolve one way or the other.

Do you think he will sit down with Mueller?

I know that he's not.....maybe frugal; like my wife's uncle.
I have 2 pairs of tennis shoes that I rotate, thank you very much. I wear the white ones with shorts and the gray ones with jeans. I have been wearing shorts about every day lately.

Both pair are a couple or three years old. I may look into new ones soon. Never tried Velcro.

He'll voluntarily sit down with Mueller when 2+2=5.

You're a lawyer, you would argue that it is so.

If I were Trump's attorney, no way would I let him sit down with Mueller. I don't think Mueller is trying to trap him. I just think Donny has such a flimsy grasp on truth that truth and lie bleed together for him.

Since his inauguration, the only sit down, televised interview Trump has had outside of the friendly confines of Fox News, was with Lester Holt of NBC and it didn't go well. He didn't stay on script and made a damaging admission. Trump's attorneys are too cognizant of that to ever allow him to sit down with Mueller.

Trump's so bad with interviews, Fox and Friends becomes Fox and Fiends for him. He can't even hit the slow-pitch softballs.

No. He would be a fool to do so.

Matt made a comment last night that by not doing an interview it may add to the obstruction case. What are your thoughts on that?

I don't see how declining to voluntarily sit for an interview is obstruction. He can force the subpoena and take the 5th. None of that would be obstruction.

No, THAT would not be.

Inviting the head of the FBI to have a quick visit at the WH then firing him when he declines to do your bidding to end the investigation... that's obstruction, and they have him cold on that. Due in no small measure to his inability to keep his own trap shut.
