Trump promises and proposals tracking thread.

Its barely 30k a year. Rent is $800 if you're lucky. Do the math. Yeah it's possible if you live with parents, but that's the point of a livable wage
I did it in Atlanta. it wasn't fun, but its livable.

I have a feeling what you consider "livable" would have been a luxury for me at the time. if you have a place to live, food to eat, clothes to wear, and basic utilities paid for, you are at livable.

how did that work out for us in the past? Things got more peaceful in the area the less we were involved.

Its no mistake that the last 5ish years have been the most peaceful after we reduced numbers in Iraq. reduced numbers in Syria.

We leave them alone they beat up each other. we stick our noses into their business, everyone in the region hates us more and "unify" to attack us.
So peace is them beating each other up as as we are not involved?

Keep in ming, it isn't highlighted in orange so we don't know if it was a real promise or something he said off the cuff. I put it on the list of promises. But I don't think anyone who is politically savvy believes he (or anyone) can secure peace in Europe and the Middle East.

@LouderVol, I set the thread up to track the promises and give a check mark if delivered. The undelivered or "failures" will be the ones without a check mark
makes sense, thanks for the clarification.

as far as I/the US am concerned, yes. if they want to beat each other into the stone age I see no reason we should stop them.

there are tons of regional conflicts going on all over the world. Before Trump was in office the right was tired of being the worlds police and wasting trillions on wars we never win. "No new wars" was a catchy slogan to differentiate Trump from Biden.

I'm on disability and make less.. Supporting a girl and child..I work part time for 13 an hour... Don't love with my parents... Have a car, internet, streaming, ps 5, grill own washer and dryer.. It can be done but you have to live within your means...
But you get a disability check, you aren't living off 13/hr.

I'm living of less then that....I don't even get 20k a year in disability
What's your housing situation? Maybe you're like me, I got lucky and bought my house in 2016 before the market got crazy, then refinanced when the ates were at rock bottom, locked in at like 2.5%. My mortgage is less than most people's car payments. Idk what I'd do if I was paying $1200 rent like some people are. Definitely wouldn't be as comfortable.

Point is those kind of mortgages don't exist anymore. You can't buy a decent house that doesn't need major repair for 100k anymore.

Feel very fortunate to get into my mortgage in 2017. The housing market is bananas.

“I’m not going start wars. I’m going to stop wars”-Trump November 2024

1 - This is limited to 25K. A few other exclusions. Id say he met this but its not 100% a couple of other caveats. Employee still has to pay FICA/SS TAX. Given that its a below the line deduction, most states will tax it.

16 - Id give him credit for this. It wasnt everything but close enough to give him credit.

10, 14, and 15 - Not met with OBBBA. Got a little bit of way there with 10 and 14 but nowhere near the promise.
right now, it is basically a pass/fail grade with the checkmark. There is discretion on "is there enough of the promise kept" to assign a check or not.

If you're thinking we need a quantified system, that's going to be much more challenging but we can give it a shot.

BTW, This is open for discussion to anyone who has an interest in this effort. All feedback from everyone is welcome.
