Trump Assassination Attempt(s)

It would not surprise me if the SS had safety protocols that prohibited agents from doing their jobs. 100% fall protection, LOTO, high visibility vests, etc
It's debatable whether our government is inherently evil, but I don't think it's debatable our government is inherently stupid and wasteful.

People just love Trump. If this happened to Biden, many of these same pearl clutchers would be making jokes about how he was halfway dead already or something
No that vast majority of Republicans & Conservatives would pissed off that someone tried to kill an American president. We may not agree with the man but we know the importance & significance of the Office.

Appears the building had no law enforcement resources attached to it...

Ah, so instead of just wholesale cleaning house- which should be done in a situation as impactful as this- we've got two useless government agencies bickering with each other in public. Typical.

This girl must be extra well done by now the way she’s been takes over the coals.

I struggle with the mocking of the inner perimeter field agents who are there to literally take a bullet. It is not their fault their bosses are incompetent....

I know she has issues holstering her weapon but let's blame the people who put her in that high profile position with a flawed plan and flawed risk analysis.

I didn’t create this environment, and IIRC most of it early on related to people like this who were being racist and harassing people at work. Now LOTT minions are showing up at Home Depot to…harass people at work

The “you” was in general, not you specifically.

At this point, I am more likely to believe a secret service agent gave him a boost up there.
I’m definitely not getting into did he take this ladder or that ladder. I’m just saying it’s possible to get the right kind of 12-ft ladder in a Sonata, you know, the important details.

well, I have a little-giant, its the 6 to I think 18-22ft. Its huge and heavy, and a pain in the ass. Most likely you're better off getting a 10-12 foot ladder and strapping it to the top of the car.

Heck, we can solve all this right now.

Why was Trump allowed on stage and/or pulled off stage? All this looking for the grassy knoll isn't even needed.

(not directed at you)

I don’t disagree he should’ve been yanked. The more pressing issue for this country is does a broken down Little Giant ladder fit into a Hyundai Sonata. I say 100% it does!

Not the one I got, not even close. The picture of the building shows a normal 10-12 foot ladder, but now they are claiming he jumped up on the AC.

FIRE HER INCOMPETENT ASS

Out of curiosity, what rationale do you have that it's her fault? Hers in particular.

I'm not saying people are wrong to demand answers and that it should be thoroughly reviewed to improve practices.

But it sure does seem like the politics of the situation are to blame some high up official just to have that rub off on the administration somehow.

This is a job where failure isnt an option. She's the boss, she's responsible. Reagan forced his SS Director out, for example.

Beyond that, the overall risk assessments of the candidates are clearly flawed. The local planning was flawed. There are huge retention issues under her watch. I suspect those three items led to the tiny SS perimeter.

That and her long list of excuses, roof too steep, too hot, locals in the building, etc have shown her willingness to cover her own ass instead of figuring out what happened.

That good enough for you?

They should’ve left it up and never allowed it to be taken down. They should make examples out of people who make those comments. Make it be the first thing they see when they check her page. Wear that $hit like a Scarlet Letter.
