I am not excited that Calhoun is a possibility, I do not want to see the triple option at UT. I would like to see Will Muschamp(which I think he is staying at Texas). Gary Patterson I think could really do some damage at UT. Hell I really do not know what to think or who we go to.

If Hamilton wishes to be fired in the immediate future, hiring Calhoun would be a great idea.

I will probably honestly not ever pay to get into another Football game if we bring him in and we are running the freaking option...

And I must apologize to VN for my ID name. I hope there is some way I can change it.

Please people do some research. Calhoun would not bring the triple option here just because he runs it at Air Force. He was an OC in the pros, he knows how to run the pro style as well. Not saying he is my #1 choice either, but he is no slouch.

Well i tell you what I was not happy with the Kiffin hire and voiced so all year and was called a no fan etc

So if UT hire Calhoun and you are not on the wagon I guess that makes u a non fan!!!

Calhoun is probably more qualified to run this program than a lot of the afore mentioned candidates including Muschamp...He has a good resume...He wouldn't have to bring the triple option to UT because he was QB coach and OC for the Texans...He's a air force grad so he would be a disiplinarian...Sounds good to me...At least he has some experience at being a head coach and been successful at it.

Still not high, and yes I should have done my research did not know he was capable of running pro-style offense! I still would really like to see Patterson, I think he would make some noise in the S.E.C.! I think Muschamp is out of the question, at least from I am seeing. LANE IS A DOUCHE AND HOW IN THE HELL DO I CHANGE THAT thing below my avatar that says Douchebag=Traitor

He would be a better pick than most of the names I've seen mentioned. Why all the love for Muschamp? I don't get it.

Probably the least "sexy" choice besides Cut, but I've heard he was Hammy's 2nd choice behind Queefin...What Offense does he run? The recruits have voiced their opinions about him, all negative from what I've read. I don't think it's the direction to go, what about you?

He runs the triple option, he isn't cut out to be a SEC head coach and if we hire him I'll explode.

Agreed , we need a big name, I hope it's Muschamp, along with another great staff, with Cregg, and Chaney as the hold overs , and bring on GArner, or Taylor

Surely not Calhoun. I wish Volquest would take down that picture of Calhoun before they run off what's left of our recruiting class. Screw Kiffin, Volquest, and Calhoun!

anybody that thinks he would run the triple option here hasn't researched him at all. He would be a good choice

i am an air force fan so i think i can speak a bit to this:

he runs the option now but because that style of offense is best suited for service academies. when he first got to USAFA he was trying to use a spread attack (that emphasized getting the ball downfield) but opted with a more traditional model considering our player base.

heres the deal with TC (troy calhoun)....

the guy has a seriously high IQ - if i am a betting man its in the 140-150 range, seriously. now you probably ask, why does that matter? the guy is a real thinker. a real student and teacher of the game - he's a helluva strategy guy.

TC is big time. people saying "mickey mouse would be better" are idiots. he was a protege of Mike Shanahan.

if you are that much into stats, go look at his wake forest o-coordinator stats before and after he left. pretty impressive.

i hope you guys dont get him btw.

I will litterally cry if Hammy hires this guy. Then I might make outlandish claims like "bring back Fulmer" or "Johnny was a players coach" or "Kiffin will make Tennessee a lifetime job"...

For $4 or $5 Million a year there is NO reason we can't hire a proven coach. If South Carolina can hire two former National Championship coaches then we can too.

Just don't understand the infatuation Hamilton has for him....

Well that makes sense, but is the recruiting potential there?

telling a player you coached in the NFL probably means something if you ask me....most college coaches cant make that claim.

had it not been for the Air Force opening he would still be in the NFL.

If we hire Calhoun, we'll lose so many of our recruits it will be the equivalent of probation or worse.
