Because I have gathered that many of you here really like Trooper, I hope this is not true. Baylor is the Vandy of the Big 12.

anyone heard any good news lately?

I get off work in 1 hour.

If this guy chooses to go to Baylor, do any of you think the progression to head coach will begin for him?

Oh, and nice shot about Vandy winning and Baylor not. Every confrence needs a slump buster to take to the woodshed! :)

I say we let him go to Baylor, see if he is worth anything as an OC... then hire him if he is. If not... then we didn't lose anything.

Once he goes to Texas he is gone to us forever, except maybe as a head coach. There are schools out there that will pay more than UTK for the services of a good coach.

Baylor seems like it could be turned around. If Briles can win at Houston, then there is enough talent in the state to go around.

Baylor had a good stretch in the 1990s. It seems that they have not really got it clicking in the divisional format though.

Just look at Alabama, Florida, and Auburn. If you look for them in the SEC standings, you'll need to look down below UT.

Who are we looking up at in this poll? It's good to know that you're ok with being #16 in the nation. you should be satisfied for years to come.

AP Top 25 1. Ohio State (50) 11-1 1,578 2. LSU (11) 11-2 1,519 3. Oklahoma (1) 11-2 1,423 4. Georgia (1) 10-2 1,421 5. Virginia Tech (1) 11-2 1,380 6. USC 10-2 1,346 7. Missouri 11-2 1,195 8. 2 of those schools have won the SEC recently. The other is currently rebuilding, although they managed to murder UT, anyway.
