Do you think UT has suffered more from a coaching/player development standpoint, or from a recruiting standpoint, since losing Garner?
The reason I ask is this: UT has recruited well since Rodney's departure. Over the past 6 classes, UT has had 3 top-5 hauls, and only the 2006 class finished outside the top 20 (23). So, there's been no shortage of athletes. Was Garner perhaps a better evaluator of talent, able to avoid players with character issues?
Or, has the biggest difficulty been the recruiting boost he provided to Georgia? They've obviously been recruiting outstanding classes as well, and they've certainly had their share of big wins against us over the past 6 years.
The coaching and developing of players fell off. Quarterbacks fell off with the departure of Cutcliffe, something happened to the O-Line and D- Line as well, hell we even dropped off at runningback.
