Trooper and former players recruiting against vols?

Did we forget about GJ? I dont care what TT, GJ, GW, or Auburn have to say about any of this or anything else. I want to hear from Tiny! He knows what GJ was trying to accomplish. When do we get his side?

Yeah, I'd like to hear Tiny's side of it, too. Tiny's side almost came out (and it wasn't good for GJ from what I heard) but Tiny might have been stopped from saying anything because of CDD's rule about underclassmen speaking to the press. That's the only thing I can think of that would stop him from telling his side, and he was supposedly there and heard the conversation. All he did get to say was..."Gerald better get faster" ! For my part, it's seems as if GJ let his frustrations that had built up from lack of PT, no interest from scouts, etc. Gj went through a VERY trying time at UT, with all the different coaches, schemes, coordinators, etc., that he endured while at UT. Yes, he deserver better, he did a fantastic job for UT while he was here, but was plagued with injuries also in his time here, which didn't help his Pro prospects either. I can see him being bitter, but he still should be loyal to his school, as his school had been loyal to him.

As I said in the above posts, CDD has a policy about underclassmen talking to the press, which Tiny falls under, and that MIGHT be the reason. Just speculating on that.

That makes since. I wasnt aware of Dooleys rule on that. Thanks!
Would have loved to hear his side tho! I understand GJ's frustration, but it is sabotage! I thought he was a little smarter than that.

What a perfect match. What the hell is Trooper asking recruits to talk with a Volunteer player. I don't care whether they are friends or not, that is not the most professional move of a college recruiter. But again we are talking Trooper Taylor, Gerald Jones, and Auburn university. My opinion of this problem is it needs to be investigated and if in fact GJ did talk with recruits negatively about TN, GJ should be banned from the athletic facility. In that case Trooper could let GJ use the Auburn facilities to work out in front of the NFL scouts. Bottom line is GJ played hard for TN but he has caused more controversy than any other player currently with our program. But in the end GJ did not give his all to the VOLS. GJ and Trooper both have chips on their shoulders. I say to the both of them, they are good riddance. VOLS football program is much without Trooper and GJ.
