We don't have to resort to tactics...we are the UT Lady Vols program....it's not about recruiting,,,it's about what we do FOR those recruit's futures.

I don't want to see another Jaime/Mercedes drop ever again. For two ALL SEC players to be drafted as second round draft picks was pitiful.

It is pitiful but that can't be soley based on the coaches a player has to want to get better on their own as well. There are some players that "eat, sleep, and breathe" basketball and there are other that play because they are talented but don't put in the extra work.

I don't believe for a moment that JN or MR fall into this category... I do know that two players have chosen their summer workout coach and one was denied and the other one fell into the "No off-campus" workout rule of last year...Both wanted to put in the extra work.

No, Mike, I don't buy it.

We can't take them all

I wasn't speaking on Geno specifically, but since you ask lets start with the arrangement of ESPN Tours, The chance to get an automatic try out for the Olympic team (when he was the coach)

Other teams have given parents, siblings, or AAU coaches money, jobs, or even homes for them to come to their university.

The women's side of recruiting is starting to get just like the men. It's cut throat with not much integrity anymore.

I call BS on homes being purchased. There are almost no women's programs with that type of financial resources, and the ones that do have it don't have enough competition at that level to make it necessary.

I've met enough of the fanbase to know that there is more than enough money to have this phenomenon here at UT...But to this point in time, it hasn't even been a topic as a possibility.

Girls want to play for the org that Pat built and the program that led in the progression of women's prominence and equality in sports.

There is still integrity in this program. And it is evident by the recruits coming here for the chance to re-acquire the WBB status we had. They are coming here to test their own personal assessments of themselves...I believe that they come in with this thought (right now)..."If this program gets back to the FF and beyond is is because I helped make it happen"... It used to be, "I know I will play for a great coach and become a great player"....It needs to get back to the latter thought.

Dawn and SC is so far ahead of Holly when it comes to reaching out to transfers and Grad transfers.
She is now going after Amber Ramirez one of the top three point shooters in the 2016 class. She is a player that makes a huge difference for teams against a zone and she is also a terrific driver to the basket and defender.
I think we'll always be behind Miss St and SC in getting players we need to fill problems with our team.
Were bringing in a Grad that shot 36 percent from the field.

I thought it was 36 from 3. We are guard heavy, no guard is coming here. Which is why they found a post player that can shoot the 3. We have consistently out recruited dawn.

She will be playing with a senior that shot 36%. and two freshmen who shot over 32, 32...not the problem

SC's top 4 shot 42, 41, 39 and 36%... that is only 23 more makes in 400 shots...totaled, that is a 5% differential..Not the problem!

Perfect example of reaching for ANYTHING they can to defend CHW........Recruiting Mythology 101

36 overall and 33.3 from the three. Ok from the three evidently can't hit a layup.

Agree with not taking them all. However , Vandy, UK, and now Missouri have them and wouldn’t it be a shame if they beat us with our own instate kids....
Just saying 😁

We’re going to lose a few future instate kids to the likes of South Carolina, Louisville and Mississippi State, too, just to name a few. Also Alabama has been hitting the state REALLY hard for 2021 and 2022 kids already. People will be quick to dismiss those kids as “not Tennessee good” but if the previously defending national champs, two time runner up and a recent perennial power program thinks they can win with them them I think the staff should try to lock the borders so-to-speak. Just sayin....:ermm:

Well actually, we’re not guard heavy at all. PG-Westbrook, Hayes, SG-Meme, Massengil. We’re wing and post heavy. F - Davis, Z, Rae, PF-Brown, Collins, C-London, KK, Cam. And before some of you all say Massengill will be a pg Warlick and Massengill already stated she will be an off guard.

If Massengill is our shooting guard she needs to shoot about a thousand shots a day this summer. I have been watching her and HH for years... Balogun was their only shooter... everyone else was fast breaks and taking the ball to the goal and playing volleyball till it went in! Massengills game is penetrating and ten foot shots or closer. Now if you want to call Zarelle a shooting guard... that’s ok with me.
Post heavy??? London for one more year,,, Harris has been here for two years and has yet to contribute meaningfull minutes. Brown? Is yet to be on campus and if she can play ? It’s for one year! So I would not count on these players other than next year.

Now (2019-20) you have:

Harris for her Senior year ???
KK for her Junior and Senior years
Collins for 3 more years (at the post)???
Saunders coming in as a Freshman!!

You have ONE TRUE Post in KK and the rest are iffy JMO. You better get a good post in 2019 & 20 Just saying

Treasure Hunt, from what I have heard a seen on YouTube is a good outside shooter. Hopefully she will come to Knoxville.

Her ball handling on the perimeter is shaky especially when she's getting pressured. I'm telling you know she'll be backing up Davis at the 3 next year.

Her true test will be her three point shot. IF she shoots better than what we got! It will be hard not to put her on the floor? Just saying

I can see us running a four out and one inside offense..... our strength will be penetrating! Evina ,Hayes , Davis , Zarelle , Jaz, and even MeMe... all can take the ball to the hoop. Pressure defense and running the ball will be our focus . JMO

The 3 point shot is not her game at ALL it’s the mid range. The same with everyone else on this team and the incoming freshman. Meme and Rennia are the only two that should take an outside shot even though they’re wildly inconsistent. Can’t penetrate a zone taking it off the dribble, because that’s all teams are going to play. Gotta revamp the offense to play to strength of the girls.

I watched her play again in the first half of the McDonald's All-American game last night I have it on DVR and she was open for the long defensive fast-break feed but I'm not sure because it was off camera most of the time with her it was cherry picking, light on defense, or the fact that she's just so fast. I have to let analyzer game little better. I think that I'm going to where you watched the game and do a full scouting report on all three of them tonight.
