Transfers?

Chloe Jackson to Baylor.... 18 point average and Grad. transfer. Baylor gets a 18 pt. Player and we get a 6 pt. Player... The rich get richer and we add another nail in the coffin?

Some Tennessee fans are not happy unless they are Miserable.

I am not emotional in any respect. Just realize we need SOMEONE to score points and preferably from the three point range. The lady from Australia does shoot the three but at a 33% rate is not what we need! Just saying.

I expect we wanted her to add depth to the front court. After Green and KK just the freshman as don't expect Harris will ever be capable of playing any quality minutes in the SEC. I also think the freshman is really a stretch four who will need some time to get to playing at SEC level.
I expect she will be the third player in a front court rotation giving a breather to KK and giving us the extra body in case of foul trouble.

Look at it this way. We get a 6 pt player, and LSU loses an 18 pt player. Net gain for the Lady Vols. My glass is half full.

Looks like she is a stretch 4 as she does shoot the three ball ? But 6 rebounds a game will help.

If she were here for four years would be concerned about us taking her. One year with plenty of scholarships maybe she will help a few minutes per game.

Sometimes I wonder if the coaching staff knows WHAT this team needs. Seriously!

Watching the McDonald's game I kept asking myself why Tennessee wasn't getting some of the players on the court. They had the pick of the litter at one time. Now, not even close.

Hopefully the returning sophomores will improve their game, but my goodness, the team needs outside shooting and consistent scoring. Better ball handling and tougher defense.

Can Tennessee get players that will bring that in the future?

I assume you're kidding since three of Tennessee's signees played in the McDonald's All-American game.

All four Tennessee signees from last year's top-ranked class also played in the McDAA game.

Why does Tennessee not dominate with "all" of those recruits anymore? Because no one does like they used to, not even Uconn. The 24 players selected to the McDonald's All-American game this year are headed to 14 different schools. 10 years ago, those 24 players would be headed to maybe 5 or 6 schools. Players have options now, dozens of quality programs, rather than maybe a dozen back then.

WHAT???? From some posters on this board, I surmised that the LVs have not signed a ranked player since Holly took over.

The Lady Vols have signed many top ranked players since Holly took over. The problem is that we haven’t been able to win with them. The fear is that we will eventually get to the point where we don’t sign the top ranked players anymore. Then where will we be. Talent will win the majority of the time. But eventually they have to be coached.

If yall truly knew some of the methods these other coaches go through to land the talent they are getting y'all would commend Holly for not taking that route.

There is a reason for the mass amount of transfers and it is due to over recruiting and coaching making promises to get a player to commit to them and that player doesn't even fit their program/scheme they just wanted to take them away from their competition.

So give me some specific examples. What does Geno tell his kids that Holly doesn't.

I wasn't speaking on Geno specifically, but since you ask lets start with the arrangement of ESPN Tours, The chance to get an automatic try out for the Olympic team (when he was the coach)

Other teams have given parents, siblings, or AAU coaches money, jobs, or even homes for them to come to their university.

The women's side of recruiting is starting to get just like the men. It's cut throat with not much integrity anymore.

We don't have to resort to tactics...we are the UT Lady Vols program....it's not about recruiting,,,it's about what we do FOR those recruit's futures.

I don't want to see another Jaime/Mercedes drop ever again. For two ALL SEC players to be drafted as second round draft picks was pitiful.

A tour of ESPN? Seriously. That equates to giving someone a House. Are you talking about Moore going to ESPN about 10 years ago, or something more recent.

Definitely recent it's one of the deal sealers kind of like other programs have to get a player to commit to them before they leave the visit. We don't do that.

It is pitiful but that can't be soley based on the coaches a player has to want to get better on their own as well. There are some players that "eat, sleep, and breathe" basketball and there are other that play because they are talented but don't put in the extra work.

And Bruce Pearl served hotdogs at his house. Every team’s sports forums love to claim that their school is the only one that actually plays by the rules. I think it’s usually a bunch of crap used to target teams that they can’t beat.
