Go back and read the screenshots (which have been referenced a dozen times in this thread). Plus he said some things on his Twitter about his daughter not playing because the other pg was “promised playing time” (same thing he said on the Facebook screenshots). He deleted a few of the tweets but not all of them. It’s not hard to find.

Westbrook said in interviews that she was coming to UT to play PG and she expected to play immediately. Hayes and her parents clearly expected the same. Perhaps if it had all been handled differently, Alexa Middleton wouldn't have transferred and we wouldn't have had to rely solely on two FR at PG-- neither ready to start immediately at a program like Tennessee.

It was reported several times that Hayes said she would play either guard spot as she was working to convince Evina to commit.

If the incoming class can contribute defensively things are looking up big time. Lack of depth has hurt in a few games this year where the press would have been effective.

I think the culture is coming back, just need the fans to get behind them!

It does not matter who you have as long as Holly is the coach they will not do any better they did this year. She can not coach.

If Diamond had left after the season as everyone expected, Alexa would have stayed.

Alexa left because of the Te'a/Jaime saga. I thought everyone knew that at this point, but I guess now. Jaime and Alexa were best friends and Diamond and Te'a were best friends.

Let's stop acting like Alexa would've been a savior, though. She could've helped us since the only good three point shooter on the team (Dunbar) got virtually no minutes her WHOLE career but Alexa was limited in what she could do to help the team, with three years of evidence to prove it.

Nobody's acting like Alexa would have been a savior. But perhaps she could have averaged less than 6 turnovers in 25 minutes of play or better than 55% FT. She might have given us the outside shooting we needed to win a few more games. PG play hurt the LVs this year and having a more experienced option would have been a benefit.

Moving along, I would take Annie, E, Rennia, over those three any day. All three made the All-SEC Freshman team, all of them like to get in the gym, future looks bright, no more gaps in recruiting, no more bust, and Holly should be fine.

Nobody transferring, these ladies came to be a Lady Vols, to win a Championship, that is their collective goal, I hope Holly pushes them to reach it, or Bridgette or Dean, or Reaves...and the new batch of recruits are more gym rats, the future looks bright.

Weight room and court, all summer.

Middleton? Deshields? Cooper? Did any one of them play this year? Oh Diamond pro!

I don't think having any of the 3 departees back would have helped a bit. Would have provided depth but no doubt offset that with copius playing time drama.

Absolutely nothing in the two years they were here to indicate any of them would have helped with the plague of turnovers except to distribute them more evenly so we don't have to abuse any one player as much.

As for 3 point shooting, I remember all three as streaky and inconsistent. Might make 5 straight, might miss 12 straight. Sound familiar?

So what does that tell us? Two groups of kids, most of whom never played together, exact same result. Hmmm
