She is from Maryland but transfer to VA to play basketball, Here are the schools she had on her list before she picked Kentucky - Michigan, Arizona, NC State, and Mississippi State.

Since the Cambridge sisters probably aren't happening. I would definitely take Walker and/or Scherr. Scherr would have to qualify as grad transfer.

Horston is a top ten pick supposedly, doubt she returns. I do think her stock would rise if she had better honed ball handling skills she could develop with one more year of college

Other than MSST, all of those are strong programs...and MSST had the sheen of having been a good program before they imploded. It's not like she was being recruited by a bunch of no-names.

Sorry, I didn't phrase my comment very well. I wasn't trying to be dismissive of Walker like Kellie shouldn't take her. What I'm saying is players like Rickea Jackson and Hollingshead had at least shown interest in Tennessee when they were being recruited out of high school, so their transfers here were certainly a nice surprise but not completely out of left field. I haven't seen anything to indicate Jada Walker would have interest in Tennessee (I thought she had, but I was apparently mistaken), so I'm not sure why fans here are getting their hopes up...

Get used to it. The way we’re going to have to rely on the portal, I think we’ll be doing this for almost every player with a pinch of basketball sense that enters the portal, whether they’ve considered us in high school or not!

A player I would be extremely interested in if she hits the portal is Serena Sundell out of KState. 6’1” sophomore Pg with a super game. I think she would really match Kellie’s style. Nice shooter, excellent passer and play maker. She would make any team she joins better immediately.

Good point! I fully thought she graduated. Didn’t realize she was still around. I agree that changes things for them.

No knowledge of Sundell wanting to transfer, just a really nice player that would suit our system. And someone who I think is languishing on a not so great team.

With her size and passing ability Sundell has WNBA potential but won’t get any looks playing at KState.

I think that could be an MO for our program. Look for those kids that need to elevate their profile to play at the next level. No better place than Tennessee to do that.

I think right now KJH will be trying to replace Horston and Jackson the two accounts for more the half of the offense. I know Key is returning but still need to replace Jackson and Horston and should be #1 priority out of the portal.

I still think there is a small chance Horston returns for one more season. I would be surprised but not overly shocked. She and TK are so tight and I know it broke their heart not getting to play together this season.

KJH wants her to rebound because playing teams like Ole Miss, LSU, SC you need to know how to rebound. Remember when she was in HS that was not her game it was just shoot the 3 ball, Which she is very good at same for Darby in HS just stand out there and shoot the 3.

Yep, Pissott has too much size and ability to not hit the glass as hard as she can. She should be working on her post-up mid-range game too. Hope she learned some from Jackson.

Justine obviously doesn’t have the athleticism and jumping ability Kea does, but she has about 3-4” more inches in height and long arms. If she develops a post up game she’ll be a threat from 2-30’ feet. That is impossible to guard for most teams lol.

The game was a little fast for her this year but that usually gets better with time. I have been impressed with how some of the players have developed under Harper. Burrell never would have made the W under Holly.

Horston and Jackson also improved a ton. Jackson had a nice career at MSST but nothing compared to what she contributed this season. Even after a rough start and being benched. Harper got the most out of her.

She was much better from 3 a season ago. Right now she’s all KState has so attracts a lot of defense. Was not able to get the open looks she got as a freshman without Lee on the floor. Something she wouldn’t have a problem with at UT with TK in the post. She is a great passer to the post as well and we need one of those lol
