Trade Wars and Tariffs

There are certain tariffs that Trump imposed that are legal including products like aluminum possibly steel. The rest of his tariffs were of course arbitrary capricious and shortsighted.

Or maybe the administration knew exactly where the boundaries that would be disputed are and they elected to step across them. Perhaps it’s taking a long view rather than being shortsighted.

"I dont care about Trump" followed by defending him and carrying water 100% of the time.....
The water bucket got a big ole hole in it this morning. The funniest part is he got his butt handed to him by a body where he thought the fix was in. Amazing what happens when you follow the law.

Anyone without a blatant bias could take a 30,000 foot view and realize this was an excessive executive overreach with a flimsy rationale. You can be for this policy (tariffs) and against this type of overreach...

SCOTUS needs to get back in their lane. This will expedite it.
I don't like to comment here but the lanes need to stay equal for the POTUS, the Congress, and Courts. All those lanes should be much much much more narrow for the Feds than they currently are.

Whether this is overreach or judicial activism or Congressional laziness...... I'll pass but all of these branches shouldn't be as powerful as they are in America today.

All politics is local..... and most of it should stay there.

Managing China. Halting illegal immigration. Bringing CapEx investment here. Creating energy independence. Cheaper energy. There’s a handful of long term accomplishments for ya.
I’ll go with you on immigration but not much else. I will also give you that he has a long term view of anything that will make him and the Trump spawn some money. There are plenty of other instances of the attention span of a 2 year old.
