I haven't seen skyhigh prices at the store. but construction has been gutted by this. It was already precarious with the interest rates; but the tariffs have killed 3 construction projects at my firm, and put another 2 on hold until they get stabilized.
those 5 are direct from the client quotes blaming the tariffs for why they decided to stop their projects. there have been other projects halted that haven't directly blamed tariffs.
I think you will see similar "straw that broke the camels back" type situations emerging elsewhere as they drag on that do impact consumers. I know Nintendo listed the tariffs as part of the reason their prices went up. so its not like there is no evidence of consumer goods being impacted.
