beginning at 13 second mark, VDH talked about "leakage" where tarriffed countries try to slip their products through other countries to get around the tarriffs. Therefore put tarriffs on all countries to catch this "leakage".I’m calling Bull ****.
They had a list and they blanket stamped tariffs on it.
The details are what make you look stupid.
It should not be hard to not look as stupid as the last guy. He was seriously impaired with dementia…..but here we are

there has been as many as 50, I do not have a copy of the ustr report. why would you be surprised countries are willing to make deals? So, two nations with whom we had nearly balanced tariffs? Way to go Donnie!
Wait, I thought the tariffs are there so foreigners pay our income taxes? I thought the tariffs are there so we can bring all the factories back to America?the tarriffs are being used as leverage to bring trading partners to the table to make new better deals for the United States. evidently leftists hate this.

Huh? Help me with that. Lowering corporate taxes would would “kill retirement savings”?
How does that work
The tariffs are, pure and simple, a consumption tax. That hits the middle class and the lower class harder than the wealthy because consumption of core goods is a larger proportion of their income.
If you do that on the one hand, and on the other hand give tax breaks to corporations and to the wealthy, the point becomes clear.
Already, Bloomberg is reporting that a number of GOP congresspersons are unwilling to count tariff income towards revenues precisely because they realize that, if the tax breaks Trump promises pass, it reinforces the point that Trump is an enemy to the middle and lower classes, and he'll drag them down with him.
