I know NASA picked like 55 colleges to use weather balloons to film it from the edge of the atmosphere looking back West to watch the shadow come East at 2000 Mph. Apparently hasn't never been attempted.
Major letdown in St Joe Mo. We were in 100% totality zone. Total cloud coverage and rain.
I would be one pissed off cowboy if I drove from Tx to St Joe for this crap. It got pitch black for 30 seconds or so, then started to get light again. #ripoff
The last total eclipse that I saw was in Virginia in 1970 and my parents wouldn't let me look at it when it was in total eclipse so I missed the sun's halo around the moon. I was so cool looking it's hard to describe.
