I think there are two things that turned folks off to Hadden early on:What is the issue with Hadden that no one likes?
He definitely has improved this year. Being cocky is a plus. Trash talking is a part of sports. Players at all levels talk trash, even if they're getting waxed. You definitely want your defense to have an attitude. What is the issue with Hadden that no one likes? He has shown he is one of the top DB’s in the country and the SEC, and is having a fabulous year so far. So I ask, why was he booed before the game even started when he was being introduced?

No one on our defense could stop anyone last year in the USC game. I want a player that’s gonna fight till the end no matter what the score is. He was upset and had raw emotions going through him. He had a bad game but he didn’t just roll over and be bullied. That South Carolina game last year is still hanging over him. Couldn’t stop anyone and was talking trash to opposing players, coaches, fans even though we were in the process of getting waxed. Nothing worse than someone talking trash while they are getting their butts handed to them.
Accurate. I'm not ant-'Kamal and I hate that people boo him, but this is what turned me off. For me, it's not much about his quality of play. When he was pulling that stuff against USC (and UF) when his team is struggling, it comes off bad, imo. If my team is getting cooked, I am not celebrating the slightest thing, much less running my mouth or starting junk.I think there are two things that turned folks off to Hadden early on:
1. He is not very sportsmanlike. Play hard, play fierce, play ferocious, but play like a grown man who respects himself and those around him. He doesn't do that.
2. Early on, his mouth was writing checks his body couldn't cash. His skill sets may be catching up, making it defensible for him to talk a little trash. The better he plays, the more he'll be forgiven for being cocky.
So it started with two problems. By hard work, he may be overcoming one. He needs to use his brain, get some values, to overcome the other.
Exactly If those fans thought he was an elite, lock down corner, they would LOVE him talking trash. He would be a fan favorite, because of his confidence. He definitely has improved this year. Hell, WGWTFA is ingrained into Volnation lexicon.
Whenever you are getting beat by 30 and you are talking then you are going to be laughed at. It’s like that in any sport. You hit a solo home run and you are down by 10 runs in the 9th inning and you act like you just hit a walk off then you are going to be laughed at. You hit a deep three or a dunk and you celebrate like you just hit a game winning shot whenever you are down by 50 then you are going to be laughed off the court. I’m not saying he wasn’t fighting and I don’t boo our players but watching him do what he did in that USCjr game last year was embarrassing for himself, the coaches and the program. It’s pretty hard to argue that.No one on our defense could stop anyone last year in the USC game. I want a player that’s gonna fight till the end no matter what the score is. Trash talking is part of the game and sometimes it can get to a point where it’s a distraction. But when the other team is talking trash even when the score is out hand, what do you want him to do? I would be more disappointed at him if he just tucked his tail and ran away from USC players when they was talking and not say anything back.
In the end I would want Hadden in the Fox hole with me if my back was against the wall and only way out was to fight your way out. Regardless of score he is true to who he is and is gonna keep the fight going.
He has had like 3 PIs this year. One was not a PI. He's winning me back. He's played hard last two games. I think he has learned. Prolly got humbled some after Florida. He seems to be doing better. I think he's our most talented kid out there.I just see a player who is consistently out of position, constantly interferes and doesn't play smart. He should have been flagged on that long third down pass 'breakup' against SC, running right through the guy. He looked downright stoned (as in high on weed) against Florida, he was so lost in coverage and seemingly unaware what was happening. He didn't even make an attempt to tackle the runner who blew past him for the long touchdown - like he wasn't yet aware of the situation. He is always late or way off the receiver. I just don't see the tackling or toughness. He got a lucky trash pick-6 on an overthrow where again he was way off the receiver, but fortunately so was the ball. I just see a lot of mouth and swagger, but not much awareness. He plays like he's stoned.
