Too much ice

Weird flex by you with your past claims of other races/religions here. Bet you don’t see yourself as one.

I don’t personally care for the guy, but aren’t we first amendment people here or not? Can’t pick and choose.
Please be smarter than this. That's not how the phrase "weird flex" works and the First Amendment isn't at odds with calling an "anti-Islam activist" a bigot, which is what he definitionally is

Trump wants this to happen so he can blame the Democrats as usual. How do you not see this?

So Trump shouldn’t enforce current law of the land because the locals don’t want the current law of the land enforced in their zip code? lol.

You realize there have been blue cities with democrat leaders that have actually cooperated with the Trump admin carrying out immigration enforcement right?

Memphis was easily one of the worst violent crime cities for the last decade and while they overwhelmingly voted against Trump in 2024, their mayor embraced working with the Feds on general crime reduction and immigration enforcement.

There's no need for it. There is no need for ICE to be going door to door asking for papers in Minnesota if all places. Except for the won't play ball with Trump.

Everyone that paid the government extra money for "Don't Tread on Me" tags...THIS is the treading! Wake tf up

For the freedom to do what?

I'm not trying to make America a theocracy, but you are misrepresenting what happened. They came here fleeing religious persecution for the freedom to practice their Christian religion as they chose. The 1st Amendment was primarily written to allow the free exercise of varying Christian beliefs, as opposed to a mandated state church like the Church of England.
That was just a minority of Catholics in Maryland and what today we'd call fanatics in Massachusetts. The majority of Europeans who settled the original 13 came for other than religious reasons.
The first amendment's not just for Christians. if it was, it would say so.

None of these shenanigans would be happening if Minneapolis local authorities worked in cooperation with lawful immigration enforcement like other cities have done.

I agree that ICE shouldn’t be conducting things like traffic enforcement or stuff but when the locals refuse to assist, these things happen.

At the end of the day, the locals don’t want current immigration law that was voted on by Congress and signed into law by a president because of politics.

There are laws I don’t like around a lot of topics. But that doesn’t mean I don’t have to follow them because my feelings get hurt or I don’t like them.

If they don’t like the current laws, change them in Congress.

How is doing what we voted them in to do "treading" on us?

And they're going "door to door asking for papers"? Can you link to proof of that?

The "they' I was referring to was LG's "they"--i.e. those who fled for religious reasons.

I like the quote that it's a Christian country. Whenever I hear MAGA types say that I just shake my head at their ignorance. This country was founded largely on the premise of fleeing religious prejudice.

The first amendment's not just for Christians. if it was, it would say so.

Of course it's not. No one implied it is.

These people come out like demons from hell & strike w/no consequences later.

I don’t know anything about the person in the back of that car.

I’m much more interested in the dynamic between the driver of said car and that mob.

Had the driver slammed the gas to get away, and subsequently squashed one of those kicking into the vehicle - what would the analysis be?

You pretending a neo-Nazi isn't a bigot is unfortunately very predictable

Which part of “I don’t personally care for the guy” did you miss. Might want to pocket all that “test scores” you boast about when you get backed down.

They will never understand that. Virginia new governor just signed a new EO for state and local law enforcement not to cooperate with immigration enforcement

A lot of false equivalency conflating it with the Good incident.

Did you just need to feel heard on this, or are you trying to disprove anything in the post you quoted?

At the end of the day, it was founded as a Christian nation while protecting the citizens from demands that they be Christians, or even specific types of Christians.
Jefferson and other Deists wouldn't have gone along with founding a Christian nation. It was founded as a secular nation where people could practice their preferred religion or lack thereof.
