DHS should be abolished. It's absolutely a threat

Noem's only a threat to kill puppies and wreck homes

I'm reading a post with no content, just a flashy statement with a punchline. How is DHS a threat to American lives?

Formed after 9/11 to increase the size of govt enforcement. They do nothing that wasn't already being accomplished with the current setup. Bigger govt is an increased threat to the freedom of citizens

FYP, and I'll agree to disagree there.

I will however, agree that bigger gov't is a YUGE problem ;)

I don’t believe dual citizenship should be a thing. I don’t think we should put up with anyone that has dual citizenship causing disruptions for our government.

Side note- I certainly do not think anyone in our government should have dual citizenship. If you aren’t American First, I don’t think you should represent us at all.
Man you love some government. Here's a refresher on what you may have missed: the ideal is that the government serves the people and not vice versa.
You get credit for spelling dual right though.

Confirmation of the Deal

Yes, this is accurate based on reports from today (December 10, 2025). The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has indeed signed a contract valued at nearly $140 million to acquire six Boeing 737 aircraft, which will form a dedicated fleet for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deportation operations. This marks a shift from ICE's historical reliance on chartered flights, enabling more direct control over logistics to accelerate removals.

Key Details
  • Contract Partner: The deal is with Daedalus Aviation, a Virginia-based firm specializing in commercial and charter services. The aircraft are likely used Boeing 737-700 or 737-800 models (not new builds), sourced at about $23.3 million per plane—well below the $100 million+ list price for new 737 MAX variants.
  • Funding Source: Supported by a $170 billion congressional boost for immigration enforcement, included in the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" (a GOP-led tax and spending package).
  • Timeline: The planes are expected to be delivered and operational within 1–3 months after inspections, FAA re-certification, and modifications (e.g., secure restraint systems). Initial arrivals could begin as early as March 2026.
  • Basing and Operations: Locations are undisclosed but may include hubs like Dallas, Houston, or Miami. The fleet will support flights to 77 countries, handling both routine and high-risk deportations. ICE has already conducted 1,701 deportation flights since January 20, 2025 (Trump's inauguration), deporting over 579,000 people so far this year.
Broader Context and Rationale

This purchase aligns with the Trump administration's pledge for the "largest deportation operation in American history," targeting 1 million removals in the president's first year. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and senior adviser Corey Lewandowski have pushed for an in-house fleet to reduce bottlenecks and costs from charters, which have become pricier amid rising demand.

DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin emphasized efficiency gains, stating the fleet will save taxpayers $279 million through "more efficient flight patterns" and better alignment of aircraft availability with deportation needs. A prior attempt in November 2025 to buy 10 Boeing 737s from Spirit Airlines fell through due to maintenance issues (e.g., missing engines), prompting this quicker acquisition of used planes.

It's really doubtful that deal will save the government money, much less $300 mil. A 737 at $25 mil isn't going to fly much longer without some $$$ work done.

Poke Poke Poke your little heart away. I guess you want on ignore as well? I've told you I'm done arguing with bad faith actors.
"You get credit for spelling dual right though" haha hilarious. You just did exactly what I said they do... Poke poke poke and expect me to say something negative and make me look like a bad guy.
Your crew hates America; but loves to take advantage of what makes it great.
Quick to throw anything negative about a Right Leaning person on these forums; but duck from & try to distract from every single negative issue pertaining your beliefs.
I don't want to be like you, associate with you, or discuss anything with you.
You guys act like your so educated, using fancy words and try to demean everyone else... I have 3 degrees. I never once used them due to the fact that I made more at the age of 22 than someone with 20 years of experience with my degree. Poke away brother... Eventually others will see how nasty you and the crew really are.

You never used any of what you learned from three degree programs? That's awesome in a special way. I have only one degree and 40 years later the knowledge I gained from it is still very useful.
Anyhow, back to the point briefly. I don't hate America at all. Our ideals are, well, ideal. It's unfortunate that we don't abide by them more. I'd say that anyone who wants fascist or other authoritarian conformist government wants to kill the good in our system and is deserving of hate.
I don't run with a crew, sorry.

New Florida law about license plates:

And then this from a recent report. Anyone really surprised?

Troopers are heard telling the driver they pulled the truck over because part of the license plate was obscured. The family shared a photo of the license plate, which they say was clearly visible.
But continue to support this mess

He is in this country illegally. Hope this helps!

Ah, cool, so it’s just more enlightened centrist posturing from you. What a treat!

The guy is here illegally and was caught. Boot the rest of his family, too, they clearly have no need to be in my country.
He was pulled over using a bogus new law about "obstructed" tags. Scary hearing how much you're willing to sacrifice but not surprising

So you believe Ice can violate the Constitution to see if someone might be illegal?

What makes the law “bogus?” Where was the Constitution “violated?” Oh, that’s right, some fellow interlopers who should be discarded in the farthest corners of the globe said that this illegal was “totally good” here.

It's simply another reason to perform a stop like a license plate bulb being out. Any frame around a FL license plate allows then to pull a vehicle over. So yeah it's bogus

Do you believe all citizens should be protected by the Constitution? It's normally a simple question but now it's much harder for the "deport everyone" crew

It looks like a sweet deal for a broker. Those planes would be so old that Boeing wouldn't sniff much from the deal unless they do the refurbishing.
I figured it was helping Boeing in one of those two ways, taking some planes off their hands they couldn't sell to anyone else and they are good planes, or they are bad planes that a ton of money has to go into. I ASSUMED Boeing would be doing the fixing, but that is definitely an assumption on my part.
