Too much ice

The truth that MAGA doesn't want to admit is that the undecided that broke his way didn't vote for this. You may have. They did not. It's why the GOP is going to have their ass handed to them in the midterms. Arresting and deporting criminals was fine. Busting the asses of the random guy working an honest day was not the plan.

It's not the sole reason for the coming wipeout, but it's certainly a big one.

I'm not sure you understood what I posted. If someone is unambiguously attempting to avoid arrest and in doing so in such proximity that the officer is struck the onus of what is "threatening" isn't particularly leaning towards the driver intent.

If need be refer back to LG's contributions from an attorney's pov. I was honestly a little surprised in how he pretty much immediately called it a clean shoot given the video and legal considerations. Also realize that guy in no, way, shape or form could ever be considered a MAGA sympathizer.
I understand destiny what you're saying, I just don't think it's a valid point.

lol

I've said take this to a grand jury.

You've excused the president assasinating a US citizen bc it was hard to capture him

You are the clown
You know anything about grand juries?

If you bother to watch a frame by frame you will see that the car was past the shooter. He had a hand on the car and his feet an arms distance away from the car. He appeared to keep up with the vehicle in order to shoot her thru her window.

There was a little more involved than difficulty serving a warrant.

Fair enough. Bear in mind I'm not particularly happy with any of this (and actually made observations on the matter that got a like from you) but here's what I'm seeing:

The officer was indeed struck, even if only glancing.
A bullet hole can be seen in the windshield.
An attorney, with demonstrably no love whatsoever for Trump & Co, has pretty much fully signed off on it being a legally justified shoot.

Do you see any of this being inaccurate?

No, but bear in mind that those points are an incomplete summary of the story.

The difference is I'm far more concerned with a government that violates our rights and might kill us without consequence than I am with the reality that we live among immigrant and non-immigrant civilians who might kill us, but they will face consequences.

You can’t even be objective in this with your framing of “kill us without consequence”…. It’s the same things people saying “at the end of the day someone was murdered”…. Murder or killing without consequence means a crime was committed. And right now, there is no one with an ounce of common sense or critical thinking capabilities who is prejudging like that.

There have been plenty of issues of skirting or ignoring the law with the current immigration policy enforcement. But if you’re just going to use yesterday’s incident as blanket “automatic guilty” without actually diving into, you’re hardly acting in good faith.

This entire environment we are in was completely avoidable when it comes to federal immigration policy.

The people who never once raised objections with obvious issues solely because they didn’t want to criticize their side have no decided to have a full blown daily meltdown and crisis.

I’m not absolving the current environment like it’s running perfect. But I’m also not going to sit here and say that this is all happening because someone woke up one day and decided to flip a switch.

This environment is a symptom not a cause of a much bigger issue and it didn’t start in January 2025,2021, or 2017

Trump has definitely taken the path of most resistance when it comes to immigration policy. That’s what Joe Biden did as well and we saw how it worked for him.

I’m not sold on a big blue wave just yet because Dems should be winning the messaging battle pretty easily but they are a disaster and a mess right now with zero organization.

I actually believe Trump won a mandate with his election. Not based on the numbers but based on the fact of where he was 4 years ago to being shot to winning the White House again.

But man he misread the electorate big time. He isn’t the first geriatric this decade to that. Hopefully he is THE LAST geriatric to do that this century.

Really not sure he cares. He’s got 1 more year to right the ship and even some of the Rinos are bucking him. His legacy will be made in 26, good or bad. The dems haven’t learned and the precedent of 2 term presidents may be over. Sadly, so will sanity in our politics which is driving this loony protesting crap.

I actually think the winner of the 26 cycle loses big in 28. Whoever wins is gonna feel vindicated in their post 2024 strategy and double down on it in 2028.

I don’t think the country is turning off on Trump, but he isn’t exactly choosing the best way to talk / show the public what can be built.

Like for someone who’s worried about daily impeachment hearings if D’s take the house back, he sure isn’t acting like it.

I do find it funny he announced the stopping of institutional buyers for homes policy and asking Congress to codify it. Will be hilarious seeing Dems who’ve called him ushering in the Third Reich have to rationalize why they are supporting a policy of his.

Like Bernie and Liz and Ro and AOC types have zero excuse for voting against that type of policy. But if it goes into effect, they also have to credit Trump for doing it. And I personally would have never given Hitler credit for anything.
