Too much ice

Wow… yep that’s exactly the case that would make me carry on a boat!

Lots of fishermen puff up about “man I’d keep a 4 oz weight on a rod and make them wake boaters think twice about coming in on me.” My thought is wow that sounds like a great way to get shot 😂

We weren't about to get into a fire fight, we were sitting ducks on a rocky boat in the open lake lol. It was a "it's over anakin, I have the high ground!" moment on their end. We were pissed but didn't have a death wish. We got the hell away from their dock but we kept fishing the rest of the lake all day waiting for the cops to get there. They finally showed as the sun was going down and we had already brought the boat back in.

Caught some nice bass in the lake, should have kept every last one instead of releasing them just to spite those psychos.

Border czar Tom Homan crowed Thursday that a “lot of progress” is being made since he arrived in Minnesota late Monday at President Trump’s request — claiming that removal of more federal immigration agents is in the works while swiping at sidelined Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Border Patrol chief Greg Bovino.

Under the 64-year-old’s recalibrated approach, the feds will focus on pursuing criminal illegal aliens in targeted operations — though Homan made a point of saying that migrants without a criminal record are also subject to apprehension and removal.

I thought I implied clearly. I don’t. I’m almost 62 now and I simply don’t have the need to where I live. I have two pistols which are candidates a Glock 34 (correction it’s a 35 the .40 version the 34 is a 9mm) which simply isn’t practical and an Sig SP2022 in 9mm which if I ever chose to do so I probably would. The Glock is mine but the Sig is actually the MIL’s first gun it’s just not practical with SA/DA for her it’s too complex and the trigger pull is too stiff in DA mode. She has a much simpler Ruger now. The Glock remains loaded and handy. I just don’t feel the need to do so out in public. Now I have thought about having one on my bass boat which I am at liberty to do should I desire. I can also concealed carry in public should I choose to do so since I live in TX. My bass boat is really the only place I think it might have use.

Now were I suddenly decide to CC most likely I’d go buy a nickel plated Springfield Armory 1911 because I think they are beautiful guns. They don’t offer a nickel plated version currently so I’d be hitting the used market which isn’t that bad with today’s online site offerings. Lots of people think 1911’s are silly CC guns with today’s offerings. I just think they are a classic.

My wife has asked me the same thing. I answered her by asking how many people does she think are armed when we are sitting down at lunch or dinner. She kinda looked nervous when she thought about the answer.
Ok

The belligerent home owner “you can’t fish here I own this part of the lake” retards are my bigger concern. They are ignorant of TX law and live on a lake.

A lot of people get spooled up on wake boards coming in on fishermen. While I don’t like it and realize they can be azzholes it’s a free country and they are free to use the lake just as I am
Have you seen the youtube video of the lady that brandishes a handgun in response to a guy fishing off her coastal lot? Claims that's her water and he's not allowed to be there. Guy handles it without provoking and leaves. He then calls the cops and after seeing his video, they arrest her.

I’ve seen several videos like that here in TX in local fishing forums. Not resulting in arrest but absolutely brandishing weapons and making threats. I’d love to see the look on they’re faces when authorities explain the actual law to them😂

I do get it though. If I’m fishing a dock it’s like camping. Leave no trace. Especially traces of hung up lures with hooks. That is the only valid concern to me and I do all I can to not leave a hook on their dock. The “it’s my lake” MFers can straight up piss off.

Nearly all right leaning people that are highly critical of Pretti’s killing have universally said he should have been detained and ID’d as a minimum from looking at that video. I commented he owed damages also on top of that.
And he should have had his firearm confiscated. It's a felony to posses a firearm during the commission of a crime. But here's the problem. The feds don't really have a place to take them. The jails won't take them.

Hey they had cause! I agree. If anything the second encounter shows a complete lack of consistency in response. Granted I’m glad they are consistently shooting people needlessly in every encounter but… 🤷‍♂️

That’s what it looked like to me. It was a protest. It wasn’t violent but he did get hugely out of line. They slapped his ass around and sent him on his way. They even ignored his gun clearly visible in the small of his back. So much for you gotta have a permit. It’s what they should have done on the second encounter too instead of killing him.

That’s what protesting looks like to you? He should have been arrested and charged

Its my understanding he was armed at the earlier encounter. If he had been arrested and charged and had his firearm confiscated, he would have in all likelihood been alive to harass, uh, I mean peacefully protest government officials today. But, alas, the Minnesota government refuses to hold people accountable.

LMAO reading comprehension much?

Both statements are true. And any further attempts at parsing to marginalize will result in the same response.

Any time you spit on someone, that should be an open invitation to have your teeth knocked out.

Yep. Complete inconsistency in response. That isn’t Pretti’s fault that falls on how ICE conducts themselves.
