Same could be said that Obama gets a pass on criticism
during his tenure as President because of his race.

Many of the things the left now “opposes” were items Obama ran on and did in regards to illegals.

I won't argue your first point. Though Obama was bad, progressives continued to support him overall and act as though he could do no wrong. Obama actually got more criticism in the black community.

Obama was essentially a clean slate when he was elected POTUS. Then he didn't so anything significant foreign policy wise except help throw the ME in turmoil and his administration demonized the US on its farewell tour. Putin and Xi, and every real adversary would love if that group was still in charge.

I don't like Trump personality, and he constantly sticks his foot in his mouth. Like many, the faster he moves on and we get someone with the a better temperament the better. However, he may prove to be more significant in foreign policy that any POTUS in recent memory. That's not me talking, that's the experts. So when we say his name is worse worldwide than Obama's are we talking about with media, the people, friendly leaders, adversaries?

However my post was more about poking Luther because he is a harden leftist and he is ok with revolution in this country. He uses Trump's name as a pejorative toward all people who voted for Trump.

It's no different when other fanbases say they hate the Tennessee fanbase, and trust me we are one of the most hated fanbases in the SEC. The talk is we're filled with obnoxious idiots who think we're all experts, or think we are Alabama in football or Kentucky in basketball. Does that mean all Tennessee fans should fall into the same category? No, but it's an attempt to have contempt for the individual fans as one group.

It's actually not embarrassing for me. Just because a few bozos hope that they can latch on to my post jabbing Luther doesn't bother me. When they contribute to the topic then we can talk. One was actually dragged around earlier in this thread by @Vol8188 and begged for mercy. Now he seems to be back days later trying to go off topic.

It's actually an excellent ploy. If you can get any Trump voter to feel bad about supporting or voting for Trump, then there is a chance you will show some type of apathy and a) not vote for a republican b) not vote at all next time c) start agreeing with democrats d) isolate Trump in some way so democrats continue to cause mayhem throughout the country. Progressives just need for you to give them an inch so they can take a foot. It's the way to keep the country lurching to the left. They are upset because they are afraid it's lurched back to the right and that never suppose to happen.

It's what they did leading up to the first election, and it backfired. All the polls assured everyone that Kamala was going to trounce him. It was likely that Trump supporters just weren't discussing their Trump support, and decided to let their votes do the talking.

Now that so many people have been red pilled about the Dems and their Pravda media, it's even worse of a backfire. The Derms' only real platform seems to be championing things only their massively minority fringe agrees with, and attacking anything that Trump does like in the first election. The problem is that in so doing, all trump really needs to do is normal, rational, popular things, and watch the Dems make asses of themselves.

I disagree on several positions like his handling of tariffs, the 50 year mortgage idea, and some entitlement ideas that would raise spending to name a few.

Number one: I am not okay with revolution. That's the last thing I want.....one of the many reasons I despise trumpism

Number two: "trumpers" is not the same as "people who voted for trump". thank god.
I believe that at least half of the people who voted for trump would be positioned on the low end of the trumper continuum
