i remember playing south pittsburg a couple of years ago and they had a receiver, antonio robinson, i'm pretty sure that was his son i think he plays for tenn tech now.
also i'm pretty sure that there's another robinson @ sp now that got nominated for 1a back of the year but idk if they're related
Where was Tony Robinson from?
Ward calling the play of Robinson to Mcgee. Man i miss watching the original number 10.

Great play! Seems like we never see plays like that anymore around here ... $%^%$!!
BTW, check out the fan shots. Man ... we looked like a bunch of trucker-hat wearing rednecks jumpin' around back then![]()
i have the entire 85 season on VHS........ the Auburn game was awesome....... Bo Jackson pulled himself out of the came in the third quarter.........
The Daryl Dickey interception....... 1st pass versus AL
the KY and Vandy beatings and the best yet the Miami cruxifiction........
If there was a playoff that year we would have won it all
larry lacewell came in and took what he called sub SEC players on defense and turned them into a fearless unit.............

talking about Chuck Webb got me to thinking about what Robinson is up to.
***please, nobody be a smart @$$ and say he's probably under a bridge somewhere***
....and Victor Peppers, Chris White, Terry McDaniel wearing #87 as a DB, Andre Creamer, Kelly Ziegler, etc., etc.
1985 weak year for the heisman also. Bo won on an 8-4 squad with Chuck Long as runner up. T-Rob was hands down better than this list of players.

I remember Chuck Long's team got destroyed in the Rose Bowl by UCLA with a freshman running back, and Auburn got manhandled in the Cotton Bowl by Texas A&M. I can't remember the A&M QB, but he was pretty good, too. McNeal??
Kevin Murray was the qb for A&M.
Eric Ball was the back who was MVP. There is more to this game. Ronnie Harmon fumbled once all year and had 4 fumbles in the first half. There was a piece run on HBO Real Sports about Harmon whether he threw that game as many Iowa fans believe. He had confirmed association with a reputed gambler with payments. Of course nothing came of it and Frye stood by Harmon's denial he threw the game.
Got into reading more about this. Harmon testified in fed court in 1989 against the agent and refuted gambler. Harmon took 54k after jr year as a promise to have him as his agent.Wow. That's very interesting.
