Even Tony said that Fulmer very well may wind up approaching the likes of Tee and Kevin Steel. However he's swinging for the fences first. He's at least going to make them say no. Patterson could be vulnerable after that ass whipping from Oklahoma. He may be realizing that a championship at TCU is very unlikely.

And it's going to be easier beating Florida Georgia Alabama every year. Plus, LSU and Auburn. Id take my chances having to beat one good team. Plus, Mayfield is gone in a couple months

That Fulmer has wiped the slate clean with the coaching search and is starting over. Said his first two targets are confirmed to be Fuente and Patterson and he's contacting them directly (no agents) to see if they're interested.

Also reported that Bev Davenport went over Haslam's head to appoint Fulmer as AD. Said Haslam wanted Currie's assistant (forgot his name) and Bev told him "over my dead body." Said we owe Bev Davenport a lot of gratitude for standing up to the Haslams.

He can get infinitely better athletes to compete with those teams here than he can at TCU.
