Tony Basilio just reported...

Don't think so
He has NFL HC' ing desires
And the NFL is a better life

I was thinking the same, just wasn't sure if Fulmer coming in as AD might change his mind. Ultimately, just want someone here that wants the job and can coach. I trust Fulmer with this. Hats off to Bev Dav for standing up to the Haslams!

Only thing left is for Phil to hire himself as coach. From what I hear he has sabotaged this whole thing just so he could get the AD job. Didnt he pull some more of this nonsense when they made him coach in the 90s.

If you believe that you are buying into the national media fake news who know nothing about what really went on behind the scenes

Doeren is that you?

What's everybody's problem with him? Everytime he and swain say something with any kind of news, people rip them, and say they have no sources, and people laugh at them.. Id listen to the before anybody on the state run radio system.. Plus basilio, has been doing this for how long? You think he wouldn't of developed some friendships and sources? And swain, well, you all know he's a former player, and pretty much the same for him as friendships and sources go.. Geesh people, stop trying to be a-holes, and just accept or don't accept the info these guys give... Rant over.. Lol..

Basilio throws a lot of **** against the wall and some of it sticks.

I'll believe it when I see it but the lie about Haslam makes me discount it all. There is no over their heads. Bev's boss serves at the will of the Governor, you know, Governor Haslam. There is no over their head to go to.

That Fulmer has wiped the slate clean with the coaching search and is starting over. Said his first two targets are confirmed to be Fuente and Patterson and he's contacting them directly (no agents) to see if they're interested.

Oh yesss, that's what I'm talking about... hope it's true!

What has he sabotaged? Us hiring Schiano? Thank God if so.

Even Tony said that Fulmer very well may wind up approaching the likes of Tee and Kevin Steel. However he's swinging for the fences first. He's at least going to make them say no.

Well, as long as he's swinging for the fences - Chris Petersen.

At least a three run shot. Perhaps even a grand slam.

The funny thing about Fuentes is he lost to butch that lost to dooley.... I really don't know the logic in this

Fuentes can coach players. You just underestimate the SEC players. Butch lost to Dooley when he was at Cin and Fuentes lost to Butch while he was at VT and Butch was at UT. Give Fuentes UT players and he would start winning and make the vols fun again. Give him a decent Def. Coordinator and I think he competes in year 3 maybe in 2 jmo

:victory:

Kiffin, Leach, or Jon Pipedream Gruden. I would officially submit that after this coaching search is over no matter if he ends up here or not Gruden should only be referred to as Pipedream or PD for short.

Agree...you should have heard that tool Andrew Fillipponi on CBS earlier today....blames Fulmer for everything and complains about having to talk about Tennessee with all of these championship games today. It's like really dude? It's your show. You CHOOSE the topics. Total tool.

He sure as hell did. It's in his nature. He will hire Cutcliffe or Miles. Nobody wants to work for that Judas Brutus, which is what Majors called Fulmer.

So does Jim Bob Cooter come back into play if we go the coordinator route?

No. He was never approached. He just put out a statement when press inquired saying he has no interest in coaching college. Plus he has a record in Knoxville he’s not fond of revisiting.

Over Haslam's head?

A lot of confusion around who's calling the shots. Haslam was on the committee to select the AD (Currie), but I am not sure there was a search committee when Fulmer was pulled in.

Haslam was likely trying to use his influence again... and as stated if Beverly D. told him to go pound sand, then she may indeed be starting to figure things out with the football program.
