On Feb. 20, 1862, William Wallace Lincoln, the 11-year-old son of President Abraham Lincoln and first lady Mary Todd Lincoln, died at the White House from what was believed to be typhoid fever.
 
In 1916, the Battle of Verdun started. It would end December the 18th after 330,000 dead and approximately 750,000 total casualties. Generally regarded as one of the worst battles in all of history.
 
The first hockey match I ever watched from start to finish. A group of us gathered at a friend's house in Pavo, Georgia. We had no idea about how hockey was played or anything, but we were as excited as we would be watching about any college or highschool game.

AHA! So, how did you become a Vols fan?
Moved to Tennessee in 2004. Joined VN a few years ago. Over the years have assimilated.

But still keep up with the south Georgia HS teams. Thomas County Central, Thomasville, Brooks County, Valdosta, Lowndes, Colquitt County, Warner Robins, Hawkinsville, etc.
