Perhaps you don't ever visit Volnation, but hopefully someone will pass this along to you. We are proud of the job you are all doing. While Covid has caused much disruptions in our lives, taken some that we love, and made us have to adapt much of our day to day living, one thing kept on going; Tennessee football. I'm old enough to remember many of the years we struggled to win; however, I am also old enough to remember the many times that we were victorious when others didn't believe. I was present when we lost a hard fought game to Notre Dame. There, when we lost to Alabama by getting our FG blocked and then watching them kick theirs successfully. There, when we lost on the last play to Georgia. There, when we came up just short to LSU for a chance to play for a National Championship. I was also there in a down pour rain against Arkansas with the stumble and fumble. There, when we defeated ranked #1 Auburn with Bo Jackson. There, when we beat Florida in the Swamp after the 9/11 postponement. There, when we lifted up the National Title Trophy in Tempe. My point, we have good years and bad years. We have breaks go are way and sometimes breaks go against us. However, all I ever care about is that the players keep fighting and they give their all for Tennessee. While some only judge by wins and losses, I've seen something that I haven't seen in a long time (since Fulmer), players are being developed. As freshmen and backups hit the field, they are ready. While some don't take notice, I've seen the foundation laid for better days ahead. Thanks for putting in the hard work. It will pay off soon enough. While you can't please all Vol fans, just know that there are plenty of us behind you and look forward to a bright Orange future! Keep fighting!
