To Pruitt and Team

They probably read all the hate crap they could take and finally decided to speak up. At least that would be my guess. I agree we ALL have a right to be pissed about the record this year. But, we should have enough class to stop short of personal attacks. It makes us look like rabid classless fans. I have been a VFL before it was even a term. But, I would not be interested in being a HC at UT. I don't think Jesus could come here and make some of us happy. JMHO Have you ever noticed how a negative attitude will spread like wildfire and a positive attitude won't even smolder much less catch fire?

One of the intriguing realities of the planet that we live on.

Some People need To take off their orange shaded glasses and realize the facts. This coach has been a complete failure. Not only has he consistently lost to inferior teams ( GA St., BYU, KY, ARK, Vandy) he has not even been competitive in over half of the games he has coached, consistently losing by double digits. He Has completely mismanaged the roster , fails,to play and utilize the most talented players and hung his hat playing a pedestrian QB that continued to get him beat by making the same stupid mistakes Game after game. If he was a winning coach, I could overlook his redneck grammar but with his horrible coaching, his grammar makes him look like a gump. If this Administration chooses to bring him back next year, I’ll sit the season out and find something better to do with my time.

Stop it! There's nothing better to do in the fall than watch your Vols take it down to the wire with the likes of Troy etc.

Perhaps you don't ever visit Volnation, but hopefully someone will pass this along to you. We are proud of the job you are all doing. While Covid has caused much disruptions in our lives, taken some that we love, and made us have to adapt much of our day to day living, one thing kept on going; Tennessee football. I'm old enough to remember many of the years we struggled to win; however, I am also old enough to remember the many times that we were victorious when others didn't believe. I was present when we lost a hard fought game to Notre Dame. There, when we lost to Alabama by getting our FG blocked and then watching them kick theirs successfully. There, when we lost on the last play to Georgia. There, when we came up just short to LSU for a chance to play for a National Championship. I was also there in a down pour rain against Arkansas with the stumble and fumble. There, when we defeated ranked #1 Auburn with Bo Jackson. There, when we beat Florida in the Swamp after the 9/11 postponement. There, when we lifted up the National Title Trophy in Tempe. My point, we have good years and bad years. We have breaks go are way and sometimes breaks go against us. However, all I ever care about is that the players keep fighting and they give their all for Tennessee. While some only judge by wins and losses, I've seen something that I haven't seen in a long time (since Fulmer), players are being developed. As freshmen and backups hit the field, they are ready. While some don't take notice, I've seen the foundation laid for better days ahead. Thanks for putting in the hard work. It will pay off soon enough. While you can't please all Vol fans, just know that there are plenty of us behind you and look forward to a bright Orange future! Keep fighting!

so, very well said. i like what he has done. and look forward to better times coming. i truly believe.

Perhaps you need to realize the fact that WE are the inferior program. Think Vandy level, though we have beaten them a few times in the last 10 years. To think the Tennessee program is SUPERIOR to anyone in the SEC is looking thru the most orange of goggles. I can say more than a few Vol fans will be glad you set out a few years. Don't threaten...do it.

NO! Not proud of the job Pruitts been doing!
Embarrassed to bring up football at work! (I live in Kentucky, used to be able to brag about football even in bad years because we always beat UK)

WTH have you been watching this year?
First half of your post is over the top sappy and the 2nd half is simply naive. SMDH.
My reaction also. Players being developed?
Why did we stick with a QB that doomed the team? Oh yeah, the others weren’t ready or another way to say it , they weren’t developed.
Offensive line that should of been one of the SEC’s best was woefully average,
Linebackers can’t cover a pass and look lost at times, etc.
While I think development is better than with Jones I can’t claim I’m convinced it’s been great with CJP

Tennessee‘s program is one of the top 3-4 in the SEC historically. Several bad hires have definitely set us back and made us irrelevant in current times, but, historically we are still a top tier program far ahead of KY, ARK , SC, and yes Vandy

We haven't been in the to 3-4 of the SEC before since Missouri and A&M came into the league

They haven’t changed anything as far as how we rank historically as a program.

And no one except posters on here care about UT's standings back in the 60s.

We've got players on this team that can't remember seeing Tennessee as much more then the doormat for Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.

Get real. 60’s?? We won a NC in 1998 . UGA hasn’t won one since 1980. And Mizzoo and TA&M I couldn’t even tell you if and when they have won one

And yet I spite of not getting an NC since 80, Georgia has beaten us 15/22 times meeting since our last NC.

A&M has beaten every time we've played them since they entered the SEC, and will most likely continue that streak Saturday.

Missouri is up on the series winning 5/9.

To each new class we're even more of a middling SEC team that is mostly irrelevant in the conference, because that's all they've ever known us to be.

I read as much of this as Jeremy will. Zero.
