Just curious, but at the academy, do they train officers to shoot in the back? With how often we've seen this happen, it is well past the point of calling these incidents accidental and borders on being a strategic practice.

Not even close to the arguments I've made in the past when discussing police brutality. The ONLY point I've ever made is that 95 times out of 100 when we see some cop shooting or beating someone it's AFTER the victim has done something really stupid..... By doing so they put themselves into a bad position..... Not sure why you guys cannot seem to wrap your head around this simple concept.

I never referred to her shooting him in the back an accident. I guess I should have stated more clearly that it appears she's an incompetent ****.
She shot him intentionally.

Im disappointed they used you this time instead of me.....I agree with your assessment of what happened....I wonder what evidence the jury heard that made them give an acquittal

Speaking strictly about using deadly force to protect yourself or others I can't see how cops should have more liberal guidelines than the rest of us?

My guess is what she was charged with versus what they heard and saw....the definitions of the charges are as follows:


Involuntary manslaughter usually refers to an unintentional killing that results from recklessness or criminal negligence, or from an unlawful act that is a misdemeanor or low-level felony (such as DUI).

Voluntary manslaughter: (also referred to as third-degree murder), sometimes called a crime of passion murder, is any intentional killing that involves no prior intent to kill, and which was committed under such circumstances that would "cause a reasonable person to become emotionally or mentally disturbed".

My guess is they viewed her actions as gross incompetence

Dude we've been over this this a dozen times I feel like. I don't think you are factually incorrect. I just think it's irrelevant.
