We harass black teens all the time for showing their underwear, but since he's a cop, we should give them a pass?

I'm assuming the cop was wearing them as he was displaying them, right?

As if you don't know. Im curious.. How are you tying the officers underwear and black youths together here?

You said the officer was showing his underwear. I related it to the fact that black teens get harassed for showing their underwear.

That is the connection.

How the **** are they not? Just because you disagree with them doesn't mean they are not hard to follow.

Marijuana should be legal and handled in a similar manner to aclohol. Period. Other than that, I honestly don't have qualms with what is considered illegal. I will draw criticism from my libertarian brethren but heroin and crack should NOT be purchasable at the local drug shop or gas station.

I agree with this.

So, they should be terminated from their job? Im still confused. I am probably much older than you and have never seen a youth "harassed" for sagging. Laughed at, yes, harassed and fired, no.

So you view laws determining what you can or cannot ingest as fair? Again, does the government own your body?

To an extent yes. Let's be honest here.. The video was about a guy drinking and driving on a public road. We're not talking about stopping him from drinking at all.

To answer your question. No the government doesn't own my body. But I'm also responsible and don't drink and drive or anything else that's illegal.

Bad cops are purged daily, nitwit. I guess silent cops are so quiet that you fail to hear them during press releases explaining how they were fired and or arrested. Btw, how do you feel about the LEO being fired for wearing and displaying his confederate underwear?

I guess it's because the press releases are so few and far between, I forget about them. Then again, the SOP is you guys investigate yourself, and find no wrong doing. Unless it receives mass media attention huh... Then you may suspend a cop for a week or so, paid leave of course.

I'm not commenting on the video. I'm simply asking, why should a substance be illegal? Shouldn't it be the actions under the substance (if they harm someone or property) that should be considered illegal?
How can vices be crimes?

The substances that are illegal are that way because the use of said substances does harm to the person or leads to harm being done to other persons not consuming them. With that being said... It's only when the person is doing something else illegal that gets them caught. Normally a case a stupids. Whens the last time you've seen a drug addict not take something that is not theirs? The illegal substances are named that way to prevent more of these type instances becoming the norm. You're crazy to think that if everything was legal this wouldn't become more of an issue.

Marijuana is the exception I see to this. I do think it should be legal but the same restrictions as alcohol be put on it.

Hasn't the government failed at its "war on drugs" utterly? I'm mean, they can't even keep the stuff out of prisons. All they are doing is generating revenue and selecting participants for the gulag.

This is what happens.

When did I ever say we needed a war on drugs? Or supported a war on drugs?

I simple like the laws. Enforce them when someone is caught. But we don't need to dump millions into a program to maybe remove the streets of one or two dealers.

Also. Legalize Mary, tax it like you do alcohol and you've made up for all the lost funds in the "war on drugs".
